Steelers RB Jaylen Warren led the backfield with 46 yards on 10 carries, adding 5 catches for 27 yards on 6 targets. Meanwhile, Rico Dowdle contributed only 15 yards on 8 attempts, plus 6 yards on a pair of catches.

Interestingly, Dowdle led the backfield with a 58% snap share. He also beat Warren in routes (20 to 13).
And that wasn’t all. Per Pro Football Focus, Dowdle beat Warren 25-17 in early down snaps, while Dowdle held the edge on third downs (9 to 2). Warren handled the only two short-yardage carries (and accounted for the backfield's only fumble).
We’ll see how this split plays out in the coming weeks. But if this uneven usage continues, it’ll be tough to trust either RB beyond low-end RB2 range. Next up is a Patriots unit that’ll have the benefit of extra rest after playing on Wednesday night.
