Bills TE Dalton Kincaid caught 7 of 8 targets for 95 yards and a score in Thursday night’s win over the Lions. The targets, catches, and yards led the team. Kincaid was used all over the formation: In-line for 59% of his snaps, in the slot 25% of the time, 8% out wide, and 8% in the backfield. And he was unrecoverable by a Lions secondary that was playing without both its starting safeties. Kincaid’s TD came on a seam route from 16 yards out.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Kincaid’s big Week 2 followed a 130-yard outing vs. the Texans in the opener, giving him 225 yards through 2 weeks. That’s the most by a TE through 2 weeks since Jared Cook in 2018.
Most importantly, Kincaid’s playing time remained strong vs. Detroit: 66% of the offensive snaps and a route on 71% of pass plays. Those marks were in line with Week 1, when he played 72% of the snaps and ran a route on 69% of pass plays.
As we talked about all offseason, that’s the skeleton key for Kincaid. He was excellent on a per-route basis last season but simply didn’t run enough routes. Kincaid has remained excellent on a per-route basis this year, averaging an absurd 4.59 yards per route. And he’s getting the routes.
Kincaid is clearly an every-week TE1 at this point. And he has the potential to finish top 5 at his position.
