Jadarian Price Headshot

Seahawks rookie RB Jadarian Price endured a brutal Week 3. Despite opening the game at Washington in the starting lineup, Price finished third among Seahawks RBs in playing time while collecting just 15 yards on 5 carries and 7 yards on his lone catch. Emanuel Wilson took a team-high 9 carries for just 14 yards (1.6 per rush), while George Holani posted a 3-10 rushing line and led the backfield in targets (5), receptions (5), and receiving yards (48).

Rookie Fumbles Opportunity

Price handled the team's first three rushing plays but lost a fumble on the third, killing Seattle's second possession on the first play.

Washington scored its first TD four plays later, and Price didn't touch the ball again until the third quarter.

He did get a chance to do so late in the second, when Sam Darnold targeted him deep down the right sideline. But Commanders first-round rookie LB Sonny Styles ran with him in coverage and knocked away the pass.

Price got his lone catch of the game for 7 yards on the next drive and carried for 7 on the next play. But then Darnold threw an INT, and Wilson took the field for the next Seattle possession.

The group wound up as a committee:

Player Snaps Carries Routes
Price 19 5 11
Wilson 24 9 14
Holani 24 3 15

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Avoid Seattle Backs

This might be the worst kind of committee ... or the best, for Price's purposes.

None of the three players has demonstrated special ability in any area, which is why we're seeing opportunities spread around. That hurts the predictability of touch distribution.

But if Price can rebound from his Week 3 fumble and flash more of the skills that made Seattle draft him late in the first round, he should be capable of keeping Wilson and Holani off the field more often.

The Seahawks clearly aren't in a hurry to overwork their rookie back. But they're also not getting much out of their backfield so far.

Seattle has scored the third-fewest total PPR points at RB through three weeks and is one of just four teams with no RB touchdowns.

Price flashed on limited work in Week 1 and then left Week 2 early with a chest injury. That didn't appear to limit him at Washington, as he finished the practice week with a full Friday workout and no game status.

We'll see whether he can show more in a Week 4 home date with the Chargers, but you should keep Price glued to your bench until he gives us reason to trust him in fantasy lineups.

The lack of RB production so far also makes Zach Charbonnet a more attractive bench stash while we await his return.
