Wan'Dale Robinson Headshot

If you had to start Titans WR Wan'Dale Robinson against the Ravens on Sunday, then he at least rewarded you by snagging the team's only passing TD. But don't give that play too much credit. Robinson totaled just 3 catches for 19 yards among 5 targets, and even the TD came on a (basically) garbage-time fourth-quarter play where he wasn't the first read. For the game, Carnell Tate dominated Robinson 12-5 in targets and accounted for 65% of the team's receiving yards.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Here's Why You Should Be Concerned

Robinson entered the game trailing Tate by just 2 targets and 19 yards for the season while matching his 13 catches. Even Robinson's weak 8.0 yards per catch trailed Tate by a mere 1.5.

But that was a bit of an illusion.

Robinson's average depth of target stood at just 5.1 entering Sunday's game; Tate's at 10.9. That means that even if they continued garnering roughly the same number of targets, we could expect the yardage gap between them to grow in Tate's favor.

That obviously occurred in the loss to Baltimore. And Tate's edge in target share -- previously 25.5% to 19.6% -- grew as well.

That aspect matters even more for Robinson than Tate because of his short-range games. Fewer yards per reception increases the importance of target volume.

Couple that with the continued lackluster play of QB Cam Ward, and you get Robinson as a low-impact fantasy asset.

That doesn't make him a drop in most cases, but keep it in mind going forward, especially when he delivers a nice fantasy outing like the 7-57-1 receiving line in Week 3 against the Giants.
