Ward was dominated by a Texans defense called by HC Demeco Ryans for the first time this season. He completed 23 of 36 attempts for 170 yards and an INT, adding just 2 yards as a rusher to finish with a season-low 6.0 PPR points. Ward ranks as the QB25 pending Sunday- and Monday Night Football.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: The Passing Floor Is Brutal
Ward came into Week 5 ranked 30th in passing TD rate and 31st in adjusted yards per attempt and his 0.0% pass TD rate and season-low 3.5 adjusted yards per attempt in Week 5 only worsened those marks.
The Titans QB has thrown for 200 passing yards in only one start this season and is now the only QB to be kept under 200 passing yards in at least four starts.
Ward's lack of passing production is taking a toll on the Titans' weapons. WR Carnell Tate entered this week as the WR30 on the season despite a 29.6% target share that ranked 6th among WRs.
Fortunately, Ward's next matchup is a Colts defense that allowed the sixth most points to QBs entering this week and just gave up a QB1 performance to Aaron Rodgers.
