Matthew Golden hauled in six of a team-high 13 targets for 104 yards and a TD on his way to a career-high 22.4 PPR points ranking as the WR5 in Week 6 pending Monday Night Football. He’s already posted at least 15 PPR points in four of the first six weeks after falling short of that mark in every game he played last season.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: The Usage Keeps Delivering
Golden’s latest career-high scoring output pushes his season average to 16.8 PPR points per game, good for WR14. That’s a massive jump from the 5.0 PPR points per game he produced as a rookie last season on his way to a WR87 finish.
There are many major differences from last season, which include the Packers becoming a high pass-rate team. They rank sixth among all offenses with a 61.4% neutral pass rate this season, a stark difference from their 27th-ranked 52.4%.
That combined with Golden’s target share improving from 11.7% to 25.8% to lead all Packers’ receivers has led to him producing as a fringe WR1.
Golden has scored at least 20 PPR points and finished as a WR1 in three of the past four weeks. He’s set up well to do it again in Week 7 against a Lions defense allowing the third most points to WRs.
