Rams WR Davante Adams is expected to miss 6-10 weeks with a ruptured hamstring, HC Sean McVay said Monday. Adams went down on a non-contact play late in the Week 6 loss to the Cardinals.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
The short end of this timetable would have Adams back for Week 13, but the long end would stretch through Week 16. Considering the severity of the hamstring injury, we'd want to see Adams make it through at least one game before trusting him in fantasy lineups again.
Adams is droppable in most fantasy leagues without an IR spot.
Update: Adams is undergoing surgery to "clean" out his hamstring tendon, with "hopes that he can return around the time of the bye or a little after," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Rams have a Week 11 bye. It sounds like Adams might end up on the shorter end of McVay's time. It makes him slightly more stashable in deeper fantasy leagues.
Other Winners & Losers
Through 6 games this season, Adams accounted for:
- 19.4% of Rams targets
- 18.1% of catches
- 27.7% of receiving yards
- 36.4% of receiving TDs
Those numbers are partially inflated by WR Puka Nacua missing 2 of those 6 games, but this is still a big loss for the Rams' passing game, particularly in the red zone. QB Matt Stafford's fantasy outlook takes a hit until Adams returns.
Nacua figures to soak up an even bigger share of this passing game going forward. He averaged 12.3 targets on a 29.1% share in the 3 games Adams missed at the end of last season.
WR Konata Mumpfield soaked up most of Adams' playing time over those 3 games last year, registering a 57% route rate and 11% target share. WR Xavier Smith was next up in routes (43%) during that stretch, but he's currently on the 49ers' practice squad. Mumpfield is worth considering as an add in deep fantasy leagues.
Rams TEs should also get a boost with Adams out. That's Tyler Higbee in the short term. Terrance Ferguson is eligible to return in Week 8.
