Rachaad White stepped in as the Commanders' lead RB with Jacory Croskey-Merritt being placed on IR following a groin injury. He handled a team-high 7 carries for 27 yards while catching four of five targets for 30 yards and a TD. White finished with a season-high 15.7 PPR points on his way to his second RB1 week this season.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Targets Fuel The Upside
The Commanders were forced into 40 pass attempts compared to just 17 rush attempts due to the negative gamescript they faced, which included being down 20-3 at a point. But that plays into the favor of White, who has shown the ability to be a high-ranking producer when commanding high-volume targets.
He finished with a 14.3% target share, the seventh-highest mark by an RB in Week 6. The last game that he accounted for at least a 14% target share came in Week 2 when he finished as the RB11.
White’s 41.1% carry share led Commanders RBs, topping Jeremy McNichols 29.4% and Austin Ekeler’s 5.9%, validating his lead-back role as long as Croskey-Merritt is sidelined.
The Commanders are on a bye next week before facing an Eagles defense that’s allowing the seventh most receiving yards, which sets White up for another fringe RB1 week.
