Brock Purdy Headshot

After capping off the opening drive with a TD to TE George Kittle, Brock Purdy failed to register another in the 49ers' win over the Commanders. But he still completed 21 of 29 attempts for 264 yards while adding another 28 rushing yards to finish as a back-end QB1 in Week 6.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Kittle And McCaffrey Must Carry

Purdy lost leading target earner WR Mike Evans to an achilles issue early in the third quarter, one week after peppering him with a season-high 37.0% target share.

He managed just 50 passing yards in the second half, completing four of seven attempts without his top WR. He’s now totalled just three TDs over the past two weeks after averaging 3.0 TDs per game across the first four weeks.

TE George Kittle and RB Christian McCaffrey, who are the 49ers' second- and third-leading target earners, with 20.4% and 18.2% target shares, respectively, are still healthy. But the team has now lost WRs Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel Sr, De’Zhaun Stribling, and Ricky Pearsall to injuries for extended amounts of time.

Purdy enters Week 7 with his most depleted WR room of the season, but gets the fortune of facing a Falcons defense allowing the ninth most points to QBs.
