George Kittle caught five of a season-high 8 targets for 69 yards and a TD in the 49ers win over the Commanders. His performance led to 17.9 PPR points, resulting in a TE5 ranking in Week 6 and his fourth TE1 finish of the season.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Volume Could Climb Higher
Kittle’s latest performance pushed his season average to 15.0 PPR points per game, ranking him as the TE5. He’s doing it as the second-leading target earner in a QB Brock Purdy-led offense that’s producing a higher passing TD rate than any other offense.
His 21.7% target share this season only trails WR Mike Evans for the team lead. But Evans exited the most recent game against the Commanders in the second half with an achilles issue that is appearing to sideline him for an extended period of time.
That leaves a clearer path for Kittle to further improve his target volume, which already ranks fourth among all TEs. Especially with the 49ers WR room still missing Deebo Samuel, De’Zhaun Stribling, and Ricky Pearsall for various extended amounts of time.
Kittle gets a Week 7 matchup against a Falcons defense allowing the 12th most points to TEs.
