Broncos RB Jonah Coleman returned from a four-week absence due to an ankle sprain and immediately carved out a significant role. He led the backfield with 9 catches for 54 yards, adding 2 catches for 15 additional yards.

Coleman shared that he played through an ankle sprain back in Week 2, one that landed him on IR. Sunday brought up his return, and he certainly looked healthy on a small sample. (Note that Denver ran a relatively low 56 offensive plays, hurt by going just 3-of-11 on third downs.)
Still, Coleman showed he’s deserving of the more work that HC Sean Payton suggested after the win.
The rookie posted positive marks in rush yards per carry (6.0), yards over expected per attempt (+1.8), and yards after contact per attempt (4.9).
Coleman probably won’t see impactful receiving volume with RJ Harvey healthy. But there’s an opportunity for him to take more rushing share from J.K. Dobbins, whose efficiency has proven underwhelming throughout the season. He's sitting on just 3.4 yards per carry on 87 attempts.
Grab Coleman if he happens to be available in your league. He’ll be a flex option this week against Kansas City, with a more favorable matchup against Carolina on the other side.
