Javonte Williams Headshot

In Williams’ most inefficient game thus far, he handled 24 rush attempts for 56 yards while adding just one receiving yard on a reception and 2 targets. His 2.3 yards per carry and 0.5 yards per reception were both season-lows for the sixth-year RB. Williams ranks as an RB3 pending Sunday- and Monday Night Football.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Volume Up, Yards Down

Just a week after Williams posted an RB1 week with a season-high 6.2 yards per carry, he managed just 5.7 PPR points for his lowest output since joining the Cowboys.

The Cowboys have deployed the fourth-highest rush rate over the past two weeks, which is the complete opposite approach from their league-high 61.1% pass rate over the first six weeks. But it has benefited Williams’ rush volume, accounting for his only two 20 rush attempts or higher weeks over the past two.

Which has come with mixed results, both for Williams and the Cowboys, who lost to the Cardinals after being up by as much as 14 in the fourth quarter.

Fortunately, Williams gets a favorable Week 9 turnaround against a Colts defense boosting RB points by 7.8% and just gave up 44.0 PPR points to Jagaurs’ RBs on Sunday.
