NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) is expected to play against the Eagles today.  Amendola put in 3 limited practices this week, and it's unclear how close he is to 100%.  That adds some risk to his Week 13 fantasy profile.  But the plus spot at home against the Eagles makes Amendola a WR2 with upside.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) is questionable Sunday’s game against the Eagles after a week of limited practices. He’s expected to play, and we’ll find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday. Even at less than 100%, Amendola should be in season-long lineups in a plus matchup.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) remained limited on Thursday.  He's expected to return for this weekend's game against the Eagles, but it's unclear how close he'll be to 100%.  We'll feel better about getting him into fantasy lineups if he's upgraded to full participation on Friday.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.  He was also limited in the final 2 practices last week before sitting out vs. Denver.  "I'll get out there today and run around and know more, but I feel good," Amendola said before Wednesday's workout.  "I can't put a number on it, or a percentage, but I feel OK to go out there today and run around."  We'll continue to track Amendola's status leading up to Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Updating a previous item: The Patriots have officially ruled WR Danny Amendola (knee) out for Sunday night's game against the Broncos. He didn't even travel with the team. WR Keshawn Martin did travel despite his own "questionable" tag for a hamstring injury. We'll see if he plays. Otherwise, Brandon LaFell and Chris Harper are New England's only healthy wideouts. On the other side of the ball, the Pats also ruled out LB Jamie Collins after he didn't travel. He had been listed as doubtful.

Patriots insider Michael Giardi reports that WR Danny Amendola (knee) is not expected to travel with the team to Denver.  He reportedly tested that knee today but wasn't deemed ready to play.  That leaves Brandon LaFell and Chris Harper as New England's only 2 healthy WRs for Sunday night's game.  WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice.  LaFell is the only viable fantasy play in the Pats WR corps.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Broncos. He put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We won’t get any concrete update from the team. Hopefully 1 of the national reporters gives us some info on Sunday morning. Stay tuned.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) put in a limited practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday.  He's making progress.  We'll see what he's able to do on Friday.  New England plays in Denver on Sunday night, and the late kickoff might put Amendola owners in a tough spot.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.  Beat writers at least spotted him on the field, and New England is expected to ramp up his activity as the week goes on.  We'll continue to track Amendola's status leading up to Sunday night's showdown with the Broncos.

Patriots insider Tom Curran hears that WR Danny Amendola has a knee sprain but is "not expected to miss an extended period of time."  His status for Sunday night's game against the Broncos will depend on how he responds to treatment and whether he's able to get on the practice field.  For now, consider Amendola 50/50 for Week 12.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola injured his knee in the 3rd quarter of Monday night's game against the Bills.  He spent the rest of the night on the sidelines.  “When I saw him, it looked like he was in good spirits,” LaFell said after the win. “I hope it’s nothing major. We’re going to need him soon.”  We'll look for updates on Amendola's status.  He racked up 9 catches on 12 targets for 117 yards before exiting.  New England also lost WR Aaron Dobson to an ankle injury.

Patriots WR Julian Edelman suffered a Jones fracture in Sunday's win over the Giants, according to insider Mike Garafolo.  It's the same exact injury that cost Cowboys WR Dez Bryant 6 weeks earlier this season.  Six weeks would sideline Edelman until Week 17.  New England is likely targeting a return in the postseason (a 1st-round bye would give him 8 weeks to heal up).  Edelman currently leads the Patriots with 61 catches and sits 2nd in receiving yards and TDs.  It's another big blow to an offense that lost RB Dion Lewis and is banged-up on the offensive line.  WR Danny Amendola figures to see the biggest spike in targets with Edelman out.  He looks like at least a weekly WR3 the rest of the way.  WR Brandon LaFell and TE Rob Gronkowski will also likely see more action.  We'll see if WR Aaron Dobson, TE Scott Chandler, RB James White and/or RB Brandon Bolden can emerge as fantasy assets.

Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) has been placed on the PUP list to open the season.  That knocks him out for at least the first 6 games.  New England still hasn't provided any details on LaFell's injury, but he's been sidelined the entire offseason.  He's not a lock to make an impact at any point this season and isn't worth rostering outside of deep leagues.  The Patriots will begin the season with Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson and Chris Harper behind Julian Edelman, who is still dealing with a leg injury.

Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) has been placed on the active/PUP list.  He can be removed anytime and would be eligible to play Week 1, but the news still puts him on our watch list.  LaFell was in a walking boot for much of the offseason and didn't participate in spring practices open to the media.  He shed the boot earlier this month but obviously isn't yet back to 100%.  We'll continue to keep a close eye on him.  LaFell's absence opens up an opportunity for guys like Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson to earn bigger roles.

Patriots WR Julian Edelman (concussion) is inactive for today's game against the Bills.  He has 2 more weeks to gain full clearance before New England's playoff opener.  WR Danny Amendola figures to play a sizeable role again today with Edelman out.  He hauled in 8 of 11 targets last week.

Patriots WR Julian Edelman did not practice on Wednesday and is listed on the injury report with a concussion.  It's the 1st we've heard of the head injury (not surprising considering this is New England) and leaves him iffy for this weekend's game against the Jets.  If Edelman isn't cleared in time, Danny Amendola figures to soak up most of his snaps.  The Pats could also increase TE Tim Wright's usage.

Injuries were Patriots WR Danny Amendola's biggest problem in 2013.  But he also had trouble settling into the offense.  OC Josh McDaniels doesn't expect that to be a problem this season.  “He wasn’t here before, and he had an opportunity to get a foundation and a system last year," McDaniels said. "And now it’s his second year, and it will be exciting to see Danny’s growth. Any time you’re in your second year in a system, you’re more comfortable. We’re excited to see what he does.”  It's tough to bank on a big bounce-back season from Amendola.  Durability remains a huge issue, and he'll be fighting for targets with Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Aaron Dobson, Brandon LaFell and Shane Vereen.  But unlike last year, it won't cost you much to draft Amendola this summer.  His 12-team ADP currently sits in the 11th round.  He's not a bad gamble at that point.

Bleacher Report's Dan Pompei reports that Patriots WR Danny Amendola "has been floated in trade talks."  New England signed the former Ram to a 5-year, $28.5 million contract just last offseason, but Amendola struggled through an injury-riddled season.  He caught just 54 passes for 633 yards, letting down fantasy football owners everywhere.  A healthy Amendola can still present plenty of PPR value.  We'll see if the Pats actually move him.

Pats insider Nick Underhill passes along word that WR Danny Amendola (groin) won’t undergo surgery.  The 28-year-old was widely expected to go under the knife, but it’s believed that the injury can heal with rest.  Amendola severely underperformed in his 1st year in New England, posting a 54-633-2 line across 12 games.  After the season, both Amendola and Tom Brady admitted that they lacked chemistry.  Of course, the health of the injury-prone WR is key to changing that moving forward.  Amendola will remain on the fantasy radar next season -- especially if the Pats lose unrestricted free agent Julian Edelman
