Raiders RB Darren McFadden (foot) was still unable to practice on Wednesday.  Oakland figures to push to get him back for Sunday's must-win game against the Chargers, but it's not looking great for Run DMC right now.  Check back tomorrow for an update.

Raiders RB Darren McFadden (foot) jogged off to the side of practice for the first time since going down 2 months ago.  It's obviously a sign of progress, but Run DMC remains a ways away from being ready to step back into live game action.  Don't expect to see him against the Chiefs this Saturday, and we'd consider him less than 50-50 to play Week 17.

Raiders insider Jerry McDonald believes RB Darren McFadden (foot) will be out at least until Week 17.  He hasn't even practiced since suffering the injury back in Week 7 and will need time to get back into football shape when he does finally get back on the field.  If you're in need of a roster spot, Run DMC is certainly droppable.

Raiders HC Hue Jackson revealed that RB Darren McFadden is actually dealing with a Lisfranc injury.  It had previously been reported as just a run-of-the-mill foot sprain.  A Lisfranc problem is much more serious -- it's what knocked Matt Schaub out for the year -- and helps explain why McFadden has missed the past 7 weeks.  Jackson also added that McFadden's prognosis hasn't changed.  "It's not a season-ender," Jackson said.  Consider McFadden week-to-week and don't bank on having him available this coming Sunday.

As expected, Raiders RB Darren McFadden (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers.  He still hasn't been able to practice since going down in Week 7.  RB Michael Bush will get another start and is a borderline RB1 against Green Bay's mediocre run D.

Raiders HC Hue Jackson says RB Darren McFadden (foot) is "getting closer" to a return.  "I wish I could tell you what day and what the percentage is, but I know [he's] getting closer," Jackson said.  The HC has seemed overly optimistic about McFadden's status from the get-go, so we'd take this with a grain of salt.  After missing Wednesday's practice, Run DMC seems unlikely to return for this weekend's game against the Packers.  A Week 15 returns is possible, but it's unclear how big of a workload McFadden would be ready for at that point.

Raiders beat writer Steve Corkran doesn't expect RB Darren McFadden (foot) to return for this weekend's game against the Packers.  Run DMC wasn't spotted on the practice field or in the locker room on Monday.  "At this point, it’s a long-shot to envision McFadden playing against the Packers," Corkran writes.  "He has to get back into football shape, get used to being hit again and needs ample time getting back into the flow of the offense. The smart money says, he returns for the Raiders game against the Detroit Lions on Dec. 18 (Week 15)."  Corkran is just speculating here, but he's been spot-on about McFadden's recovery all along.  Look for RB Michael Bush to get another start this weekend.

According to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora, Raiders RB Darren McFadden (foot) "likely will miss at least a few more games."  He's been out since Week 7 but is still "very limited and unable to do much," per La Canfora.  The team is reportedly hoping to get him back for Week 14 at the earliest.  McFadden is worth hanging on to for the fantasy playoffs, but Michael Bush will continue to be Oakland's workhorse for the foreseeable future.
