Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. Neither guy practiced all week, but HC Pete Carroll labeled them game-time decisions. RB Travis Homer (knee) isn’t listed on the final injury report and will be available on Sunday. RB Tony Jones is also on the active roster, while RBs Darwin Thompson, Wayne Gallman and Godwin Igwebuike are on the practice squad. We’ll see if Seattle elevates any of those guys on Saturday.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. RB Travis Homer (knee) was limited. So Homer is out to the early lead in the race to be Seattle's Week 14 lead back. He's worth adding in most fantasy leagues while we continue to monitor this backfield over the next few days. The Seahawks also have RB Tony Jones on the active roster and RBs Wayne Gallman and Darwin Thompson on the practice squad

The Chiefs released RB Darwin Thompson. They're set to enter the season with Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon atop the depth chart.

The Chiefs are signing RB Jerick McKinnon, according to NFL Network's Peter Schrager. We'll see about the contract details, but we'd expect some sort of low-risk 1-year deal. McKinnon averaged just 5.1 carries and 2.1 receptions per game with the 49ers last season, after losing 2 years to an ACL tear (plus complications). McKinnon figures to compete with Darwin Thompson and Darrel Williams for roster spots. We'll see how the backfield sorts out -- and whether Kansas City adds a RB in the draft -- but aren't interested in McKinnon for best-ball drafts right now.

The Chiefs have re-signed restricted free-agent RB Darrel Williams to a 1-year deal. As the depth chart stands now, Williams and Darwin Thompson would be competing for #2 RB duties behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire. We'll see if Kansas City adds anything else to the backfield this offseason.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Chiefs are releasing RB Damien Williams. The veteran, of course, opted out of the 2020 season for COVID reasons. His departure now creates a potential opportunity for Darwin Thompson to fight for the #2 job. Neither Darrel Williams nor Le'Veon Bell is under contract for 2021, leaving only Thompson and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. We'd bet on the Chiefs adding more either in free agency or the draft. Thompson is a fine shot to take late in best-ball drafts right now, though, in case he reaches the season as K.C.'s 2nd back.

The Chiefs are releasing RB DeAndre Washington, according to ESPN's Field Yates. That seems to solidify Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the depth chart. Each makes for a solid stash late in fantasy football drafts, with Williams the #2.

The Athletic's Nate Taylor believes Darrel Williams will enter the season as the Chiefs' #2 RB. Williams has reportedly been splitting 1st-team reps with rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire and showing well in all aspects. “He’s done a hell of a job,” OC Eric Bieniemy said. “He’s smart, he can run it, he does a great job of picking up the blitz, and he’s also good in the pass game, as far as catching passes out on the perimeter.” Williams has mustered just 3.4 yards per carry on 54 attempts in Kansas City over the past 2 seasons -- although he's averaged a nice 10.8 yards on 18 receptions. We're ultimately still expecting a committee backfield with Williams, DeAndre Washington and potentially Darwin Thompson if Edwards-Helaire misses time. So we're not going out of our way to draft any of these Chiefs backups. But Williams is worth a look in super deep fantasy leagues.

Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy called rookie RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire a "piece of the puzzle” when discussing his 2020 backfield. Bieniemy also mentioned Damien Williams, Darwin Thompson and DeAndre Washington as pieces. He went on to call Edwards-Helaire a “special kid … running the ball, having the ability to get outside in the open field, make some plays as a receiver. You can create matchups with him. He’s one of those ideal kids that fit in what we do.” We know the Chiefs are high on CEH after they spent the 32nd overall pick on him last month. And we’re expecting him to lead the backfield in touches and fantasy points this season. The question is just how much of the work he’ll garner. Fantasy drafters are assuming it’ll be a whole bunch. Edwards-Helaire’s ADP is currently sitting in the early 3rd round.

Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy is a healthy scratch for today's AFC Championship against the Titans. He played just 1 snap last week, so it's not a major surprise. Damien Williams will continue to serve as Kansas City's feature back, with rookie Darwin Thompson as the #2 back.

Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy is a healthy scratch for tonight's game against the Bears. The 31-year-old has been running on fumes over the 2nd half of the season. Kansas City will roll with RBs Damien Williams, Spencer Ware and Darwin Thompson tonight. Williams is the best fantasy bet of the bunch.

Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) practiced all week and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll return for Sunday night’s game against the Bears — his 1st action since Week 11. Williams averaged 9.9 carries and 3.3 targets over his first 8 games of the season. That feels like a fair projection for Week 16, making him a RB3 with some upside in this explosive offense.

Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) is inactive for today’s game against the Broncos. That again leaves Kansas City with RBs LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson and Spencer Ware. McCoy is the best fantasy bet in the committee but should only be considered a RB3 or flex option.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Chiefs RB Damien Williams is expected to be inactive for today's game against the Broncos. He's officially questionable after missing Friday's practice, following 2 days of limited workouts with his rib injury. Williams' expected absence leaves touches available for LeSean McCoy, Spencer Ware and Darwin Thompson. McCoy should be the 1st Chiefs RB into fantasy football lineups. Just don't expect him to dominate work. McCoy hasn't exceeded 12 carries or 14 touches in a game this year.

The Chiefs have placed RB Darrel Williams on IR with his hamstring injury. LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson and Spencer Ware are Kansas City's healthy RBs right now. Damien Williams (rib) remained sidelined on Wednesday. McCoy is looking like the favorite to lead this backfield in touches against the Patriots this weekend, although he hasn't topped 14 touches in a game all season.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid conceded that there's a "good chance" RB Darrel Williams (hamstring) misses Sunday's game against the Patriots. There was no update from Reid on RB Damien Williams, who missed Week 13 with a rib injury. If both Williamses are out this weekend, Kansas City would be down to RBs LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson.

Despite RB Damien Williams (rib) being inactive and RB Darrel Williams exiting in the 3rd quarter with a hamstring injury, RB LeSean McCoy finished with just 5 carries and 3 targets in the win over the Raiders. “We’re not fooling anybody here, he’s not getting any younger, so it’s my responsibility to manage him as best I can, and I think I know him as well as anybody," HC Andy Reid said afterward. "So I’m going to do what I think is right on that." If both Williamses are out for Week 14's game against the Patriots, we're probably looking at something close to a 50/50 split between McCoy and RB Darwin Thompson. Thompson is worth grabbing off waiver wires this week.

ESPN's Adam Teicher tweeted that "based off pregame warmups, Darrel Williams will start at RB for the Chiefs today." Williams was reportedly 1st in line in warmups, followed by rookie Darwin Thompson and then LeSean McCoy. Fox's Jay Glazer also reported that HC Andy Reid told him McCoy's workload will be based on how he's feeling and performing early in the game. This has become a tough backfield to project. You might be best off just avoiding it in Week 3 fantasy lineups.
