Colts DT DeForest Buckner (ankle) is active for today's game against the Bills. He's probably somewhere short of full strength, but his presence makes a big difference for the Colts' defense vs. both the run and pass.

Colts DT DeForest Buckner is questionable for Saturday's playoff opener against the Bills with an ankle injury. He has been listed with the same issue since Thursday of Week 15 but has yet to miss a game. Buckner followed the same practice participation this week as last -- out-out-limited -- but he finished last week with no injury designation. So it's possible the ankle is a bit worse this time around. Any limitation to Indy's best defensive lineman can obviously only help the Bills. We'll check his status when the inactives come out late Saturday morning.

Colts DT DeForest Buckner is active for today's game against the Texans. He hurt an ankle in Thursday's practice and then missed Friday's workout. That adds risk to using him in IDP lineups today, but Buckner remains a high-upside option.

The Colts have activated DT DeForest Buckner and DL Denico Autry off the COVID list. Both starters missed last week's game against the Titans, helping RB Derrick Henry to a huge rushing day. David Johnson -- assuming he's activated from IR in time -- won't be so fortunate in this Sunday's matchup. Both Buckner and Autry belong in IDP consideration for Week 13. Check our IDP rankings to see whether you should be starting either guy.

The Colts on Wednesday placed DT DeForest Buckner on the COVID list. That puts him out for at least 10 days, according to NFL rules. So Buckner will miss this week's game against the Titans. We'll see about his status for Week 13. Indy DL Denico Autry also remains on the COVID list after missing last week's game. HC Frank Reich gave no update on Autry's status Wednesday. We'll see whether he can make it back to the active roster for the Tennessee game.

The 49ers on Monday traded DT DeForest Buckner to the Colts for a 1st-round pick. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Indianapolis is also extending Buckner's contract at a $21 million-per-year average salary. The move obviously sets up Buckner as a keystone in what should be an improving Colts offense. We'll see how losing Buckner affects San Francisco's top-shelf defense.

MyFantasyLeague.com will be changing 49ers DL DeForest Buckner from a DE to a DT on Wednesday. If your IDP league doesn't split the 2 DL groups, then the change doesn't mean anything. But if you play with a DT-specific slot, then you should be aware of the change and the further value boost that Buckner gets. He delivered strong numbers as a rookie while playing a ton of snaps. Buckner has dealt with an ankle sprain this summer but carries as much upside as any fantasy DT when healthy -- now that Aaron Donald has moved to DE.

Niners DT DeForest Buckner left Friday night's game against the Chiefs early with an ankle injury. The team quickly ruled him out for the game. We'll look for further details on the injury. Buckner played an exorbitant number of snaps as a rookie and delivered strong IDP numbers.

Niners DT DeForest Buckner left Wednesday's practice with a sprained left ankle. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that Buckner got it taped on the sideline and tried to "walk it off" but could not return to the field. That makes the injury sound relatively minor, but we'll see how long he's out.

49ers DE DeForest Buckner (foot) is active for today's game against the Bills. He missed the Week 5 loss to the Cardinals but should be OK to use as you normally would in your IDP league this week. There's tackle upside against the run-favoring Bills.

49ers DT DeForest Buckner (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game in Buffalo. He put in limited practices all week, though, after missing Week 5. He seems on track to return, but we'll watch his status Sunday morning.

The 49ers have ruled DE DeForest Buckner out for Thursday night's game against the Cardinals because of a foot injury. Coaches had expressed optimism earlier in the week that Buckner would be able to play, so the 10-day layoff before a Week 6 meeting with the Bills should put the rookie in good shape to return.

The 49ers grabbed DE DeForest Buckner with the 7th pick of the NFL Draft. Buckner has drawn a lot of Calais Campbell comparisons, and he might be even better entering the league. Despite Campbell's rare size, he arrived as a 2nd-round pick with questions about his motor. Buckner produced as a run defender and pass-rusher and presents scheme versatility. He'll rank among the top few IDPs in our dynasty rookie rankings.
