Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. It's confirmation that he's set to return for Monday's game vs. the Raiders. Pacheco is back in RB1 territory in the Week 16 Rankings. RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) did not practice on Thursday. His absence would boost Pacheco's pass-catching projection.

The Chiefs are expecting to get RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) back for next Monday's game vs. the Raiders. "He'll be back this week," HC Andy Reid said Monday. "He'll be good to go this week, unless there's further setbacks. But right now, everything's positive for him to go." Pacheco had emerged as Kansas City's feature back before hurting his shoulder, averaging 17.0 carries and 2.8 targets over his last four games. Expect him back in a similar role in Week 16 and beyond, barring another injury. Pacheco can be penciled back into fantasy lineups, while Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon should go back to benches.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire totaled 13 carries for 37 rushing yards with 4 catches for 64 yards and a TD as a receiver in Week 15 vs. the Patriots. He appeared on 61.5% of the team’s offensive snaps on Sunday and out-touched teammate Jerick McKinnon 17 to 7. As long as Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) remains out, Edwards-Helaire should carry fantasy appeal as Kansas City’s lead runner and will have a tremendous opportunity to pay off in lineups in Week 16 vs. the Raiders (eighth-best RB matchup per our adjusted fantasy points allowed).

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots. HC Andy Reid revealed Friday that Pacheco had cleanup surgery on his shoulder but has a chance to return for Week 16. We'll track his status next week. Pacheco's absence this weekend will again leave Kansas City's backfield to Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon. Those guys split snaps last week, with CEH handling 11 carries and four targets to McKinnon's four carries and three targets.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) won't practice on Wednesday, HC Andy Reid said. Pacheco's shoulder injury isn't long-term, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, but it's certainly possible that Pacheco misses this weekend's game vs. the Patriots. That'd again leave the backfield to RBs Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon. Those guys split snaps last week, with CEH handling 11 carries and four targets to McKinnon's four carries and three targets.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is dealing with a "pretty serious" shoulder contusion, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Pacheco couldn't lift his hand above his shoulder late this week. "But it's not considered to be a long-term injury," Rapoport adds. "No IR. They expect him back sooner rather than later." We'll track Pacheco's status this coming week and see if he can make it back for next Sunday's game vs. the Patriots.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills. HC Andy Reid said, "we'll see" when asked whether Pacheco will go on IR. We'll see if Kansas City makes that move on Saturday, but it at least sounds like Pacheco could be looking at a multi-game absence. Try to keep him stashed on fantasy rosters at least until we see if he lands on IR. His absence this weekend will leave Kansas City's backfield to Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon. RBs La'Mical Perine, Deneric Prince, and Keontay Ingram are on the practice squad. Edwards-Helaire is probably the best bet for carries -- but we could also see Kansas City go extremely pass-heavy sans Pacheco. McKinnon figures to dominate passing-game work and could also mix in for 8+ carries. See our updated projections for the Chiefs backfield.

Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. That sets him up to return for this weekend's game vs. the Bills. McKinnon's status has taken on increased importance with RB Isiah Pacheco dealing with a shoulder injury.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) will miss practice again on Thursday, HC Andy Reid said. There was no other update on Pacheco's injury or status for this weekend's game vs. the Bills. We'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow. RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) seems to be trending toward returning for Sunday's game.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco missed Wednesday's practice with what HC Andy Reid labeled a shoulder contusion. Reid added that Pacheco is getting the shoulder "checked out," according to Arrowhead Pride's Pete Sweeney. If it's just a contusion, Pacheco should be available for this weekend's game vs. the Bills. We'll look for further updates on his status and see if he practices on Thursday.

Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) has been downgraded to out for Sunday night's game vs. the Packers. HC Andy Reid said Friday that he expected McKinnon to play, so it's unclear what changed over the last 24 hours. Regardless, McKinnon's absence should again put RB Isiah Pacheco in a three-down role. He's a strong RB1 play in fantasy lineups.

Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to play vs. the Packers on Sunday night. McKinnon isn't a fantasy option, but his return would knock Isiah Pacheco from high-end RB1 status to lower-end RB1 status.

Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. RB Isiah Pacheco moved into an every-down role with McKinnon out last week, producing 89 total yards and two scores. He's a locked-in RB1 if McKinnon remains out for Sunday night's game vs. the Packers.

Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. McKinnon has played on most obvious passing downs throughout the season, averaging 2.6 targets per game. We'll see whether RB Isiah Pacheco or RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire picks up that work with McKinnon out this weekend. His absence certainly doesn't hurt Pacheco's fantasy outlook.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco handled 16 of 18 team rush attempts for 66 scoreless yards in Week 9. The Chiefs’ offense struggled in this one. They ran only 56 plays at 4.8 yards per pop, as no Chiefs RB saw a goal line attempt. Still, Pacheco enters a Week 10 bye with 13+ carries in six of his past seven outings. The Eagles await on the other side. But after that tough matchup, Pacheco’s schedule looks ultra-favorable.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) will not travel with the team to Germany and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. CEH has averaged only 2.2 carries and 0.6 targets over the last five games, so his absence leaves just a few touches behind for RBs Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon.
