Cardinals HC Dennis Green says WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) "is going to get himself ready" to play against Dallas in week 10. What a huge boost to fantasy teams this would be, provided he can run and cut.

Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) didn't practice again Thursday. He's not going to play. Remember, Dennis Green said "2-5 weeks" back on Oct. 9. This will be the 3rd game he's missed. Hopefully the week 9 bye will fix him up. The Cardinals have 4 of 6 at home after the bye.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter says Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald's original "2-5 week" hamstring diagnosis will end up landing closer to 5 weeks. He's officially missing his 2nd straight game this week, then they have a bye. Fitzgerald could be ready for Dallas in week 10.

Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald is listed as probable with an ankle injury. It wasn't mentioned by Dennis Green in Monday's press conference, nor did we see anything happen in Sunday's game. If for some reason Fitz couldn't go, Bryant Johnson would be the hot WR pickup of the week.

Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald left in the 2nd quarter with a serious hamstring pull. He did catch a TD in the 1st quarter so the day was not ruined for Fitz-owners. Trainers wrapped an ice-bag to the back of his leg and he sat on the bench in the 2nd half. Fitzgerald will be questionable at best for Week 6, though with the Chicago Bears next up you might not have started him anyway.

Updating our earlier report on Larry Fitzgerald's hamstring, he told reporters after the game there was "a little pop" in the back of his leg. "I couldn't even straighten my leg out," he said. He'll have tests done Monday. In the meantime, we're assuming Fitzgerald will miss Week 6 vs. Chicago, probably Week 7 at Oakland too. That makes Bryant Johnson a huge free-agent score. Johnson caught 6 passes for 82 yards vs. Kansas City - plus he and Matt Leinart worked together with the 2nd-team offense all summer.

Cardinals HC Dennis Green said WR Larry Fitzgerald's hamsting injury is very serious. "It's a strong, strong pull," he said. "I think he'll be out at least two weeks... maybe two to five weeks. It's a strong pull, maybe even a slight tear." There you have it. And the worst part? Green's tone and delivery made it truly sound like a 5-week injury. What a blow to fantasy GMs. Bryant Johnson has good fantasy value though he's not an automatic start vs. Chicago this week.
