ESPN's Adam Schefter calls Bills RB LeSean McCoy "questionable" for Week 3 after suffering cracked rib cartilage in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. "McCoy should not miss more than one game, if that," Schefter adds. We'll track his practice participation this week. If McCoy is out, Buffalo would be down to RBs Chris Ivory and Marcus Murphy. This whole backfield is best off avoided this week in a brutal matchup against the Vikings.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy suffered fractured ribs in Sunday's loss to the Chargers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. McCoy will reportedly try to play through the issue against the Vikings in Week 3. So a matchup that already looked terrible now includes further downside risk for McCoy. Through 2 games, Marcus Murphy ranks 2nd among Bills RBs in rushing attempts (9, to McCoy's 16). Chris Ivory has carried 5 times for 10 yards and the team's lone rushing TD.

UPDATE: Tests on McCoy' ribs Monday morning revealed no fracture, according to Rapoport. So it sounds like he's just dealing with a bruise. It's an injury McCoy should be able to play through.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy injured his ribs in the 2nd half of Sunday's game against the Chargers. We'll look for an update on his severity. It was another dud from McCoy, who mustered just 68 scoreless yards before exiting. His absence would leave Chris Ivory as Buffalo's lead back.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy is not expected to be charged for the allegations made against him in July, "barring an unforeseen discovery," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rapoport adds that McCoy is also "unlikely" to be suspended by the NFL. So it looks like he'll be eligible for all 16 games. We have concerns about how much is left in McCoy's tank and his supporting cast in Buffalo. But he should be at least a volume-fueled RB2 this year.

The forecast for today's Bills-Ravens game calls for a 100% chance of rain and 15 mph winds with gusts up to 21 mph. This had the makings of a low-scoring, run-heavy game anyways, and this weather only makes that more likely. Try to avoid the Bills passing game. Ravens WRs Michael Crabtree and John Brown are still fine WR3s.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy is eligible to play in Sunday's opener against the Ravens, the NFL said Monday. We haven't heard much recently about the allegations that were made against him back in July, but the incident is still being investigated by the police. So McCoy isn't completely out of the woods yet. He figures to be a volume-based fantasy starter whenever he's on the field this year.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy has been limited in practice this week with a sore groin. It doesn't sound like he'll play in the 3rd preseason game this weekend. There's no reason to believe McCoy's Week 1 status is in doubt, but any nick is worth monitoring for a 30-year-old RB with over 2,000 career carries.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy has been accused of beating his girlfriend. (You can view the Instagram post here, which contains a graphic image of a bruised and bloodied female.) The post also claims McCoy has used steroids and beaten his son and dog. We, of course, have no way to know the validity of these accusations. But the Bills are already looking into the situation, per ESPN's Dianna Russini. And you can bet the NFL will be, too. The league has taken a hard stance in domestic violence cases since the Ray Rice fiasco, so McCoy could certainly be looking at a lengthy suspension if these accusations are true. We'll continue to keep a close eye on the story.

Bills C Eric Wood announced Friday that his season-ending physical revealed a neck injury that will end his career. Wood said doctors told him no surgery or further treatment could get him cleared to return. The 31-year-old arrived as a 1st-round pick in 2009, began at RG and then settled in at C in 2010. Wood has started there for Buffalo since, playing 97 of 113 possible games since the start of 2011 (including all 17 this past year). RB LeSean McCoy faces the biggest immediate impact on the fantasy football front. We'll see how the Bills address the sudden need.

The Bills have named Brian Daboll their new OC. He spent this past year as OC for the national-champion Alabama Crimson Tide but also has 17 seasons of NFL experience. That includes 4 as an OC -- 2 with the Browns, 1 with the Dolphins and 1 with the Chiefs. None of Daboll's units ranked better than 22nd in yards or 20th in points. He's leaned heavily toward the run as a play-caller so far, with 3 of those 4 teams finishing inside the top 6 in rushing attempts and top 11 in rushing yards.

The Bills have fired OC Rick Dennison. He lasted just 1 season in Buffalo, leading his unit to bottom-11 finishes in both total yards and points. The Bills will have a new OC -- and very likely a new QB -- when the 2018 season kicks off.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) is active for today's game against the Jaguars. He put in only a limited practice Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday and is clearly a long way from 100%. But Buffalo will also likely need him to play his usual central role against a stifling Jacksonville pass defense.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Bills RB LeSean McCoy is expected to play in today’s playoff game against the Jaguars, despite an ankle injury that got him farted off the field last Sunday and cost him practice time all week. There’s obvious re-injury risk here, but McCoy also figures to get as many touches as he can handle in a weak Buffal offense.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's Wild Card game against the Jaguars. He got in a limited practice on Friday, reportedly taking part in individual drills. McCoy seems to be trending toward giving it a go, but a final decision probably won't be made until pregame warmups. We'll have his official status around noon ET on Sunday. RBs Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy will share backfield duties if McCoy ends up inactive -- and might see expanded roles even if McCoy plays.

Bills HC Sean McDermott said after Thursday's practice that RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) is "headed in the right direction. But McDermott also remained non-committal on McCoy's availability for Sunday's game vs. Jacksonville. "Will we be able to get there in time? We'll see," said McDermott. McCoy did some stretching ahead of Thursday's practice but didn't participate in any drills. We're unlikely to know his status until inactives are announced 90 minutes before game time.

A source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter that Bills RB LeSean McCoy is expected to be a game-time decision for Sunday's Wild Card game against the Jaguars. It's still early in the week, but it doesn't sound like McCoy will get any practice reps this week. And if he does suit up, he won't be anywhere close to 100%. Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy figure to share backfield duties if McCoy can't go.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's win over the Dolphins. He was in a walking boot after the game but "has a chance" to play against the Jaguars this weekend, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "If he does, he’ll be gimpy and not 100%," Rapoport adds. McCoy is helped by the fact that Buffalo plays on Sunday, giving him an extra day to heal up. His status will be 1 of the biggest storylines of Wild Card Weekend.

11:12am EST 12/3/17

Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is active for today's game against the Patriots. He was held out on Friday with what HC Sean McDermott called “knee soreness,” but McCoy wasn’t even listed on the final injury report. He’s safe to keep in fantasy lineups.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy was held out of Friday's practice with what HC Sean McDermott deemed "knee soreness." McCoy isn't listed on the final injury report, though, so the team fully expects him to play against the Patriots. We'll check on his status on Sunday morning, but McCoy is fine to keep penciled into fantasy lineups for now.
