The Raiders announced Tuesday that the Ravens have canceled the Maxx Crosby trade. ESPN reports that Baltimore rescinded its offer because of "medical concerns that arose during a physical."

The Baltimore Ravens are acquiring five-time Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby from the Raiders for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks. The deal becomes official once Crosby passes a physical at the start of the new league year on March 11. It’s the first time in Baltimore’s 31-year history that the team has traded a first-round pick for a veteran player. Crosby immediately boosts a Ravens' defense that fell to 24th in yards allowed (354.5) last season.

New Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak elevated defensive line coach Rob Leonard to defensive coordinator. Leonard also served as defensive run game coordinator last season and now replaces Paul Guenther, who was dismissed in December. Leonard has coached the Raiders’ defensive line for three seasons and previously worked with the Giants, Dolphins, and Ravens.

The Raiders are officially placing Edge Maxx Crosby on IR, and he's expected to have surgery on the left knee he injured earlier this season. The procedure's expected to be minor and shouldn't affect his 2026 readiness.

Fox's Jay Glazer reports that the Raiders plan to shut Edge Maxx Crosby down for the season's final two games. Crosby -- who has been playing through at least a knee injury for a while -- reportedly does not like the team's decision.

He's officially questionable after managing just one limited practice this week on a high ankle sprain. Crosby played through the issue two weeks ago before missing Week 4. HC Antonio Pierce said this week that they have to protect Crosby from himself with these injury decisions at times. Early word that he'll return makes this seem like a better than game-time-decision situation. I bumped Crosby back up the Week 5 DL rankings some, though he remains short of his usual position. There's risk both to playing him and sitting him in IDP lineups this week.

Crosby and Wilson were expected to play, whereas Wilkins reportedly looked more questionable. That could limit his snap count vs. usual, but Wilkins should probably be in most IDP lineups as planned at this stage in the Week 3 slate.
