The Giants are hiring Matt Nagy as their OC, according to multiple reports. Todd Monken was reportedly HC John Harbaugh's top choice for the job. But, like Harbaugh, Nagy has strong ties to Andy Reid. Nagy started his coaching career under Reid in Philadelphia and spent the past four seasons with Reid in Kansas City, serving as OC for the last three.

The Giants are finalizing a deal to hire John Harbaugh as their new HC. It's a five-year deal that will make Harbaugh one of the league's highest-paid coaches, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Harbaugh is coming off an 18-year run with the Ravens, winning 61.4% of his regular season games and Super Bowl 47. It's a strong hire for New York. But Harbaugh worked his way up through the ranks as a special teams coach. That makes the rest of his offensive staff key to figuring out what this Giants attack will look like going forward. Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson (rib) and TE Theo Johnson (illness) are out for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. That leaves New York without its top two targets. The Giants have ruled TE Theo Johnson out for tomorrow's game against the Raiders because of an illness.

Fox's Jay Glazer reports that the Raiders plan to shut Edge Maxx Crosby down for the season's final two games. Crosby -- who has been playing through at least a knee injury for a while -- reportedly does not like the team's decision.

Very little went right for the Giants in Week 16, but RB Tyrone Tracy continued to lead New York's backfield in playing time and production. Tracy out-touched Devin Singletary 18-12 and accounted for 55.3% of the Giants' total yards in the team's 16-13 loss to the Vikings. Tracy also commanded a 35-21 lead over Singletary in snaps.

Giants QB Jaxson Dart (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to return for Monday night's game against the Patriots. It's a nice spot for the rookie. The Giants are firing HC Brian Daboll, according to multiple reports. Daboll had been in the middle of his fourth year with the team, and things have gone downhill since a 2022 playoff trip opened his tenure with optimism. Those Giants went 9-7-1 and then beat the Vikings on the road in the Wild Card round (before getting smoked 38-7 at Philly). The 2023 Giants lost QB Daniel Jones early to an ACL tear and wound up 6-11. They dipped to 3-14 last season and have started this year 2-8, following Sunday's come-from-ahead loss at Chicago. OC Mike Kafka takes over as the interim head coach.

Giants QB Jaxson Dart left Sunday's game in the 3rd quarter for a concussion check. Dart tallied 241 passing yards and 6-67-2 rushing prior to leaving. Russell Wilson is currently in the game for the Giants.

Update: Dart has been ruled out with a concussion. Consider him no better than 50/50 to be cleared for next weekend's game vs. the Packers.

The forecast for today's Giants-Bears game calls for sustained winds around 20 mph with gusts up near 30 mph. Robinson averaged over 14 yards per catch in New York's previous 3 games but was unable to get downfield against a San Francisco secondary that allowed 318 receiving yards and 10.6 yards per catch to Houston's pass-catchers in Week 8.

The totality -- including no turnovers -- landed Dart 11th among fantasy QBs entering Sunday night's game, according to ESPN scoring. But a key injury could impact his scoring the rest of the way.
