The Eagles have signed former Buccaneers DT Ndamukong Suh to a 1-year deal. The move comes just days after Philly allowed Washington's rushing offense to dominate time of possession in the team's 1st loss of the season. We'll see how much Suh actually helps that area, though. According to ESPN's Seth Walker, Suh ranked 69th among 70 DTs in run-stop win rate last season.

DT Ndamukong Suh has agreed to a 1-year, $14 million deal with the Rams, according to Pro Football Talk. That adds Suh to a D-line already sporting arguably the league’s best lineman in Aaron Donald and talented DL Michael Brockers — all under well-traveled and accomplished DC Wade Phillips. The Rams defense — which also added CBs Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib this offseason — could be devastating, in real life and fantasy. Suh isn’t likely to deliver big IDP numbers but is certainly capable of DL2-level production, with upside beyond in the best situation of his career

As expected, the Dolphins released DT Ndamukong Suh and his big ol' contract Wednesday. Miami made the move despite incurring a $22.2 million cap hit, designating Suh a June 1 cut to spread the dead money over this year and next. Suh instantly becomes the top free-agent on the market. We'll be interested to see where the 31-year-old lands for both his IDP outlook and his potential effect on the team defense.

The league had suspended Lions DT Ndamukong Suh for 1 game after he purposely stepped on the ankle of Packers QB Aaron Rodgers during Sunday's Packers win. But Suh had the suspension changed to a $70,000 fine on appeal Tuesday, meaning that he'll play against the Cowboys this weekend. That provides a big boost to the Detroit defense and chips away at the upside for Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray. We've also added Suh to our playoff IDP rankings -- for the truly serious fantasy player.

Lions HC Jim Schwartz said free-agent addition Jason Jones will take over the starting job at left DE this sesaon.  That's the role Detroit allowed Cliff Avril to vacate when he signed with Seattle.  Schwartz was coordinating the defense in Tennessee when the Titans drafted Jones in the 2nd round in 2008.  Jones played end and tackle there but indicated that he preferred to line up inside when he hit free agency after 2011.  He endured an injury-riddled year with the Seahawks before signing with the team from his home state.  Jones doesn't bring the pass-rush quicks of Avril and might not have a 10-sack season in him.  But he should play the run better and could yet turn into a worthwhile IDP.

Lions DT Ndamukong Suh has officially appealed his 2-game suspension for stomping on a Packers lineman last week. Considering the usual timeframe for such review processes, it seems likely this will make Suh eligible to play Sunday night against the Saints. (Could that have been the player's and/or team's motivation to appeal, by any chance?) Of course, with the blatant nature of his violation and Suh's dirty record this season, the league might hand down a quick "sit" command. We should know by Friday 1 way or the other. Suh doesn't make for a strong IDP play against the Saints anyway.

FOX's Jay Glazer reports that the league has suspended Lions DT Ndamukong Suh 2 games for his Thanksgiving stomp. Suh can appeal it to stay eligible for the Week 13 meeting with New Orleans, but his wrongdoing was obvious to anyone with the gift of sight. Suh's absence leaves more snaps for DTs Corey Williams and Nick Fairley, though neither should be an IDP target against the Saints' stout OGs.

DT Ndamukong Suh told the Detroit Free Press that he's not headed for a slump in his sophomore season. The defensive ROY said he aims to improve his technique to eliminate "a lot of mistakes" he made as a rookie. Any player in the league can get better, but it's amazing to think of Suh continuing to present upside. He reportedly showed up for camp in terrific shape, looking like an "oversized DE." Suh should remain a top-10 IDP DL as long as he wants.

The Associated Press named Lions DT Ndamukong Suh the 2010 Defensive Rookie of the Year.  Suh racked up 66 tackles and 10 sacks, while adding 1 INT, 1 forced fumble, and a TD.  He's the definition of a defensive building block.  Suh was a runaway winner for the award, receiving 48 of 50 votes.  The other 2 went to Patriots CB Devin McCourty.
