That will sideline Hunt indefinitely, thrusting RB Spencer Ware into the starting role for Sunday's game against the Raiders. He needs to be picked up in all leagues immediately. This might signal the end of Hunt's season.

The Chiefs sent RB Kareem Hunt home after learning of the release of a video showing him abusing a woman back in February, ESPN's Dan Graziano reports. Both the team and the league are surely considering what action to take here. "Most likely short-term resolution is that Hunt would be placed on the commissioner's exempt list pending a final decision," Graziano adds. We’ve removed Ware from the RB rankings. Kareem Hunt is obviously the big winner here. The rookie will step into the feature role in HC Andy Reid’s offense. We detailed earlier this offseason how productive that spot has been for fantasy football. RB Charcandrick West moves up to #2 on the depth chart. And RB C.J. A source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter that Chiefs RB Spencer Ware has a PCL injury and is expected to be sidelined anywhere from 2-8 weeks. That's obviously a wide range. The short end would have Ware pushing to play in the season opener. The long end would have him out through Week 6. We'll keep an eye out for a more concrete timeline. For now, we've projected Ware to miss 3 games.

Update: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Ware also suffered LCL damage in that right knee.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid said Saturday that he expects RB Spencer Ware (knee) to play again this season. "It's not one of those things that's just clear cut, end of the season," Reid said. "That's not what it is right now. We've got to go through the whole process here in this case." This coincides with the previous report that Ware's ACL is intact. We're still waiting for an official diagnosis and timeline, though. Ware can't be drafted as more than a late-round bench stash at this point. Meanwhile, Reid called rookie Kareem Hunt the "regular featured back" for however long Ware is out. He's worth drafting in RB2 range now.
