Two Giants writers for NJ.com project TE Will Tye to get cut this summer. Both project Evan Engram, Rhett Ellison, Matt LaCosse and Jerell Adams to constitute the team's TE group -- with Adams beating out Tye for the final spot. It's notable only because Tye's 70 targets ranked 4th on the team last season. His ouster would leave opportunities available for Engram and others. We're not betting on the 1st-round pick turning into an immediate fantasy starter. But the departure of last year's starter would enhance the weekly upside.

The forecast for today's Lions-Giants game calls for a 65% chance of rain with winds of 10-20 mph. Not ideal. It's especially concerning for Lions QB Matt Stafford, who will be playing with an injured middle finger on his throwing hand. He's no better than a mid-range QB2 for Week 15.

He tallied 32 catches for 368 yards and 3 TDs in his final 8 games, ranking 9th among TEs in non-PPR points and 8th in PPR. The biggest hurdle between Tye and TE1 production this season is the presence of Larry Donnell and Matt LaCosse, who have been splitting 1st-team work with Tye in training camp. We'll see if Tye can separate from the pack over the next month.
