The Ravens on Tuesday traded DL Haloti Ngata to the Lions. Barring a change in scheme, Ngata should play DT in Detroit's 4-3 front. That slight change helps his IDP value in leagues that separate DTs and DEs. Ngata has been an inconsistent, down-the-list fantasy producer overall, though. He also turned 31 in January.

The league has suspended Ravens DL Haloti Ngata 4 games for violating the PED policy. That puts the veteran lineman out for the rest of the regular season. Although Ngata has popped up for solid fantasy football numbers at times, he hasn't been a big IDP contributor. So replacing him shouldn't be too difficult. Baltimore figures to turn primarily to rookie Timmy Jernigan in Ngata's role, which could mean some IDP upside for Jernigan in a positive matchup with the Dolphins on Sunday. Losing Ngata hurts the defense overall but doesn't significantly alter the team D's fantasy outlook.

The Ravens defense will have NT Haloti Ngata, CB Lardarius Webb and LB Daryl Smith in the lineup against the Jets today.  All 3 had been listed as questionable, with Ngata the most iffy for the game.  A full-strength Baltimore D poses a tough matchup for Jets RB Chris Ivory, though we expect this game to remain close.
