Week 16 Overview

Darnold has finished outside the top-20 QBs in fantasy points in four of his last six outings. That includes a QB25 finish in the first meeting with the Rams. Los Angeles' pass defense has slumped a bit lately, allowing strong games to Bryce Young, Jacoby Brissett, and Jared Goff the last three weeks. But Darnold would still be very tough to trust as a 1-QB league starter, especially with high winds expected in Seattle on Thursday night.

The forecast for tonight's Rams-Seahawks game calls for a 40-50% chance of rain with winds around 20 mph and gusts up over 30. The rain shouldn't be impactful, but the wind will be. Per Rotogrinders' Kevin Roth, we could see gusts of 30-40 mph in the first half, tapering off to around 30 mph in the second. We'd shy away from using either kicker in this game. We're not adjusting projections for the offenses but could certainly see both teams lean a bit more toward the run. This was already a tough spot for QB Matt Stafford, on the road against a tough defense and without WR Davante Adams.

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold went without a TD pass for the third time in five games in Sunday's narrow victory over the Colts. He completed 22 of 36 throws (61.1%) for 271 yards (7.5 yards per attempt), with no TDs or INTs. With one game left to go in Week 15 as of this writing, his fantasy total sits 24th among QBs for the week by ESPN scoring. That will mark his fourth fantasy finish outside the top 20 among the past six weeks.
