Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot reports that Browns S Grant Delpit might land on IR this week for a groin injury that's expected to cost him multiple games. Going on IR, of course, would cost him at least the final four contests of the regular season. If the Browns elect not to place Delpit on IR, it'll indicate they want to leave open the possibility of him returning. Either way, his 2023 season looks done for redraft IDP rosters. If you're playing for a fantasy championship in Week 17, will you want to start Delpit in his potential first game back from a two-week groin injury? (Same question if you play into Week 18.) Ronnie Hickman was Cleveland's only full-time safety for Sunday's win over the Jaguars, filling in after Juan Thornhill got ruled out pregame with a calf injury. D'Anthony Bell filled in after Delpit left. Hickman, an undrafted rookie, tallied just 2 tackles and a pass breakup. Bell -- a 27-year old with 20 career tackles -- collected 3 solos. It's certainly possible either guy finds numbers this Sunday against the Bears. But this isn't the time of year to take a chance on near-complete unknowns in your fantasy football lineup. Look for a more-proven replacement if you're losing Delpit.

Update: The Browns placed Delpit on IR on Wednesday.

Monday's MRI revealed no structural damage in Browns Edge Myles Garrett's injured left shoulder, according to multiple reports. HC Kevin Stefanski called Garrett day-to-day and indicated he's optimistic for Garrett's chances of playing Sunday against the Rams. We'll watch Garrett's status throughout the week, and you should make sure to have an insurance option. But it sounds like we'll have Garrett for IDP lineups.

Browns LB Anthony Walker (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos. He missed the first two days of practices before returning for a limited Friday. Walker looks like a weak bet for IDP lineups this week even if active. This injury knocked him out of last week's game after just 8 snaps. And even when healthy, Walker has exceeded 3 solo tackles only once this season. The team has ruled CB Denzel Ward (shoulder) out for the game. S Juan Thornhill (calf) is questionable. We'll check on Walker and Thornhill when inactives come out, but you shouldn't be planning to use either player.

Browns LB Anthony Walker left Sunday's win over the Steelers with a hamstring injury. We'll watch for more on his outlook this week, but he seems like a solid bet to miss at least a game. If Walker does sit out Week 12, we'd likely to looking at close to full playing time for LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. He'll be worth a waiver-wire look ahead of a Week 12 clash with the Broncos.

Browns LB Anthony Walker (concussion) is off the final injury report after a full Friday practice. That means he'll lose no further game time after leaving the Week 6 win over the 49ers with a concussion. We had assumed Walker would miss at least a game, but you can now find him low in LB3 territory in our Week 7 LB rankings.

Browns Edge Myles Garrett looks ready to go for Sunday's game against the 49ers. He opened the week by sitting out Wednesday's practice with the foot issue that put him in a walking boot after the Week 4 loss to Baltimore. But Garrett returned to a limited practice Thursday and then went full on Friday. Cleveland left him off the final injury report.

The Browns have acquired Edge Za'Darius Smith from the Vikings for a mere swap of draft picks. Minnesota has been expected to move on from Smith this offseason to save salary cap. The 30-year-old rebounded from losing nearly all of 2021 to injury, racking up 80 total pressures in his lone Vikings season, according to Pro Football Focus. That marked the second-largest total of his career, and Smith has earned elite-level pass-rushing grades from PFF in each of his last three healthy campaigns. He should play lead snaps opposite Myles Garrett in Cleveland, though free-agent addition Ogbonnia Okoronkwo will factor into the rotation as well.

Browns S John Johnson III (thigh) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Saints. Johnson played through the injury for a portion of last week's win over the Ravens, but he managed just 1 limited practice this week. We'll check his status Saturday morning. EDGE Jadeveon Clowney (concussion) is out for the game.

Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah put in full practices all week and is off the final injury report for Sunday's game against the Bills. He missed the past 2 games with a knee injury but intimated this week that he felt ready to return last week against the Dolphins. LB playing time has varied in Cleveland this season, so it's tough to know who will stay on the field most among JOK, Sione Takitaki and Deion Jones. There's decent tackle upside to any, but the Buffalo matchup has been negative for LB scoring overall. That plus the playing-time uncertainty should have you leaning elsewhere in many close IDP lineup decisions.

Browns EDGE Myles Garrett missed time at the end of Sunday's loss to the Patriots after aggravating his left-shoulder sprain. "I've been dealing with it since the accident, just trying to manage it and be in the best position to play come Sunday," he said afterward, according to Cleveland.com. "And certain falls, tackles, stuff like that that’s going to aggravate it." Garrett will get further testing on the shoulder Monday, but he says, "I'll be playing next week."

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski deemed EDGE Myles Garrett "good to go" for Sunday's game against the Chargers, according to NFL.com. Garrett carries no injury designation into the game, despite remaining limited in practice this week with shoulder and biceps injuries from last week's car accident. Fellow EDGE Jadeveon Clowney (ankle) is questionable once again. He finished the week with a limited practice, the 1st time he has participated since Week 2. Clowney missed the past 2 games with the injury.

The Browns have downgraded EDGE Myles Garrett to out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, due to the injuries he suffered in Monday's car accident. It doesn't seem like he should miss further time, given that Garrett said he hoped to play in this game and the team initially listing him as questionable. With fellow EDGE starter Jadeveon Clowney questionable, Cleveland could be down to Alex Wright and Isaiah Thomas as the starters at those spots against Atlanta.

Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been cleared to play Sunday against the Falcons and carries no injury designation into the game. He left last Thursday's win over the Steelers early with a groin injury but progressed to limited practices the past 2 days. There's likely some added risk of re-injury vs. usual, but the absence of a questionable tag leaves us willing to play him. JOK has moved up our Week 4 LB rankings.

Browns EDGE Myles Garrett went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a single-car rollover accident Monday afternoon, according to multiple reports. There's been no further report of Garrett's specific injuries. We'll have to see about the impact on his football availability.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Browns don't expect LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah's groin injury from Thursday night to be a long-term issue. The team will monitor his progress in the coming week to see if the 2nd-year player will miss further game time.

Browns LB Anthony Walker left in the 3rd quarter of Thursday night's game against the Steelers with a left knee injury. Walker needed a cart to remove him from the field and had an air cast on his left leg. He was quickly ruled out for the game. This one could be serious.

Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah left in the 3rd quarter of Thursday night's game against the Steelers with a quad injury. He's questionable to return. JOK could be seen trying to work out the issue on the sideline initially, but he then left for the locker room.

Browns DE Myles Garrett does not appear on the team's final injury report for Week 3 and is good to go for Thursday night's game against the Steelers. Garrett sat out Tuesday's practice with a neck issue, but it doesn't seem to be a concern going forward. He's ready for IDP lineups.

Browns DE Myles Garrett missed Tuesday's practice with a neck injury, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. HC Kevin Stefanski said only "we'll see" when asked whether Garrett would be able to play Thursday night against the Steelers. Already without DE Jadeveon Clowney, the Browns defense would be in rough shape without its star pass rusher.

Browns EDGE Jadeveon Clowney left Sunday's game against the Jets with an ankle injury. He is questionable to return.
