Tyrone Tracy Will Play Week 15

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (hip) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report. We don’t know exactly how work will be divvied between Tracy and Devin Singletary on Sunday, but the backfield boasts plenty of upside with the Giants 2.5-point favorites vs. the Commanders’ 23rd-ranked RB defense.

Tyrone Tracy A Full-Go On Wednesday

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (hip) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. He's set to play vs. the Commanders this weekend after getting knocked out of New York's last game before the Week 14 bye. RB Devin Singletary was out-touching Tracy in that one before the injury -- but Tracy had played ahead of Singletary the previous three games. This is a tricky backfield to project heading into Week 15. But the matchup against Washington's 23rd-ranked RB defense makes both guys worth considering as RB3s with upside.

Tyrone Tracy Says Injuries Aren't Serious

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy said Tuesday that he suffered a hip contusion and a stinger in the loss to the Patriots. It certainly looked worse than that when Tracy was carted back to the locker room. And it's worth remembering that players tend to be optimistic about their statuses. But Tracy gets a well-timed Week 14 bye, and it sounds like there's a chance he's ready come Week 15. RB Devin Singletary remains worth adding wherever available, but his chances of being a locked-in fantasy starter down the stretch take a hit with this news.

        Tyrone Tracy Injures Hip

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy was knocked out of Monday night's game vs. the Patriots with a fourth-quarter hip injury. He was carted back to the locker room. We'll look for further updates, but this had the look of a potentially serious injury. The Giants get a Week 14 bye, but RB Devin Singletary is worth adding wherever available. He'd likely take over an every-down role if Tracy misses time. The Giants get neutral RB matchups in the final three weeks of the fantasy season vs. the Commanders, Vikings, and Raiders.

Confirmed: Cam Skattebo Done For The Season

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Giants RB Cam Skattebo will miss the rest of the season with a dislocated ankle. Skattebo underwent surgery on Sunday night at a Philadelphia-area hospital. "If all is good and clean and the surgery went as well as everyone believes, he should be back with no issues for next year," Rapoport adds. "It's a gruesome injury, but the recovery is actually not as bad."

Cam Skattebo Suffers Serious Ankle Injury

Giants RB Cam Skattebo suffered a gruesome right ankle injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. This looked like a season-ender, but we'll keep you updated on the rookie's status. RB Tyrone Tracy will take over as New York's lead back, with Devin Singletary as the No. 2.

Update: Skattebo has a dislocated ankle and was taken to a hospital for further evaluation, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Tyrone Tracy Expected To Miss 2-4 Weeks

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks with the dislocated shoulder he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the Chiefs, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It's about the best-case scenario for Tracy. But he'll be at elevated risk of re-injury and likely see his performance as a pass catcher suffer when he returns. Tracy's absence will give rookie Cam Skattebo a chance to lay claim to the lead RB job. He played 70% of the Giants' snaps and handed 8 of 12 RB carries after Tracy went down in Week 3. RB Devin Singletary got the other four rush attempts.

        Tyrone Tracy Hurts Right Shoulder

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy suffered a right shoulder injury in the first half of Sunday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He was in obvious pain and headed straight back to the locker room. Tracy is officially questionable to return. His absence leaves New York's backfield to Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary.

Tyrone Tracy Will Play Week 9

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (concussion) put in a full practice on Friday and is off the final injury report. He’s been cleared to play vs. the Commanders this weekend, despite sustaining a concussion on Monday night. Tracy was dominating rushing work before that head injury, out-carrying RB Devin Singletary 20 to 2 for the game. The rookie is a solid RB2 in Week 9 fantasy lineups.

        Tyrone Tracy In Concussion Protocol

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy told USA Today's Art Stapleton after Monday night's loss to the Steelers that he's in concussion protocol. Tracy exited late in the fourth quarter with a head injury, although the team never confirmed the concussion. The rookie had a huge game before the injury, ripping off 145 yards and a score on 20 carries. He's clearly claimed the Giants' starting RB job -- but will likely miss Week 9's game against the Commanders. We'll track his progress through the protocol this week. Tracy's absence would make RB Devin Singletary a viable fantasy starter.

Devin Singletary Back For Week 7

Giants RB Devin Singletary (groin) was limited in practice all week but is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Eagles. Per ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, the Giants will “keep an eye on Singletary to see how he’s doing off groin injury. So they will likely ease him back into game action.” HC Brian Daboll also said that RB Tyrone Tracy will “get plenty of playing time.” It sounds like there’s a chance Tracy continues to lead this backfield in Week 7.

Devin Singletary Looking Iffy for Week 5

Giants HC Brian Daboll said Wednesday that RB Devin Singletary is missing practice because of a groin injury. Dan Duggan of The Athletic added that the RB seems "headed for questionable territory based on Daboll's comments today." The Giants visit the Seahawks this Sunday.

Devin Singletary maintains backfield lead ahead of upside Week 18 matchup

Texans RB Devin Singletary carried 16 times for 80 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans, adding 3 receptions for 6 yards on 3 targets. That found him doubling Dameon Pierce's carry count and tripling Pierce's target count. Singletary has more than doubled Pierce in opportunities in four of five games since Pierce returned from injury. That includes a 47-15 lead for Singletary over the past three weeks. Week 18 holds a matchup with the Colts, who entered Sunday as the third-best scoring matchup for fantasy RBs. There will be upside to Singletary if you're playing Week 18.

Devin Singletary dominates as Dameon Pierce disappears

Texans RB Devin Singletary controlled the backfield in Sunday's win over the Titans, rushing 26 times for 121 yards and posting a 4-49 receiving line on 5 targets. Singletary took 26 of 28 RB carries for the game and ceded just 1 backfield target to Dare Ogunbowale. RB Dameon Pierce, meanwhile, played just 4 snaps. That marked a season low -- but only trailing his Week 14 by four. Pierce has seen his role shrink significantly since returning from three games lost to injury. The previous two down weeks came in losses, though, including a lopsided defeat to the Jets. Houston did fall 13-0 behind Tennessee early in the second quarter Sunday and trailed 13-3 at halftime. So perhaps game script played into his usage again. But the dramatic difference between his snaps and Singletary's (58) clearly make the latter the favorite to lead the backfield over the final two weeks. Singletary gets a challenging spot against Cleveland in Week 16 before a rematch with the Titans. He should push for a low-RB2 spot in our RB rankings each week. Pierce looks like a handcuff at best.
