ESPN and NFL Network report that Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee, ankle) will NOT play vs. the Ravens today. Mostert has been battling various injuries throughout the season, but this will be the first game that he misses. His absence will leave Miami's backfield to De'Von Achane, Jeff Wilson, and Chris Brooks. Achane is likely to get more work with Mostert out, although we doubt Miami makes him a workhorse. Wilson figures to mix in plenty and could be a RB3 or flex option for fantasy teams.

The final numbers from Sunday's blowout win over the Commanders suggest Dolphins RB De'Von Achane took over the backfield in his second return from a knee injury. The rookie tallied a 17-73-2 rushing line, leading the team in carries, yards, and TDs. And he ranked third among Dolphins in receptions (3) and receiving yards (30). Raheem Mostert trailed at 11-43-1 rushing, catching his lone target for 8 yards. But usage looked very different before and after halftime. According to Pro Football Focus, Mostert played 19 of Miami's 29 offensive snaps in the first half, compared with Achane's 12. Mostert hit halftime with a 9-3 carry lead and 1 target to Achane's 2 -- and Miami leading 31-7. Mostert played just 4 more snaps after the break, compared with Achane's 23. The rookie scored both of his TDs in that span. Mostert's TD came in the first half. So what's the takeaway? Expect both RBs to remain plenty involved and carry weekly TD upside. The remaining four matchups in most fantasy schedules don't look good for RB scoring (10th-worst schedule in the league by our adjusted fantasy points allowed). But the slate looks even worse for passing points. So consider Mostert and Achane weekly starting options the rest of the way. Jeff Wilson Jr., meanwhile, garnered only 4 carries even in a blowout victory. He's safe to drop in most fantasy formats.

Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (knee) will play vs. the Commanders this weekend, HC Mike McDaniel said Friday. The rookie shapes up as a risk/reward Week 13 fantasy play. He returned from this knee injury two weeks ago but lasted just three snaps before aggravating the injury. Achane has remained limited in practice this week. That's the downside. The upside? How about 518 total yards and seven TDs in his last three healthy games. Achane's return is just a slight knock against RB Raheem Mostert but knocks RB Jeff Wilson out of RB3 or flex consideration.

Update: Achane was a full participant in Friday's practice and is not listed on the final injury report.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the Dolphins don't expect RB De'Von Achane (knee) to play today against the Jets. He adds that it's not a "long term" injury, so don't be surprised if Achane's ready for Week 13. Pelissero says to expect "a lot" of Raheem Mostert and "some" Jeff Wilson Jr. in the Black Friday game. Mostert makes for a strong fantasy play in a matchup that's much friendlier to rushing than passing. Wilson's a fine roster stash given Achane's situation and could pay off in DFS showdown lineups. But he has only 13 touches through three appearances this season and was a healthy scratch last week. So we wouldn't recommend trying Wilson in common-sized fantasy football league lineups.

The Dolphins placed RB Salvon Ahmed on IR with a foot injury suffered in the Week 11 win over the Raiders. Ahmed is out for at least the next four games, making Week 16 his earliest possible return. He can be dropped from all redraft rosters. With RB De'Von Achane (knee) likely out for at least Friday's game vs. the Jets, Jeff Wilson will be elevated to the No. 2 spot on the depth chart. He'd be a desperation Week 12 fantasy play but is certainly worth stashing on fantasy benches. Wilson is now a Raheem Mostert injury away from a big role.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (ribs, finger) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 7 injury report. He’s seemingly in line to make his 2023 debut vs. the Eagles on Sunday night, although Wilson still needs to be activated from IR. Considering how well RB Raheem Mostert has played, we’d be surprised if Wilson played a big role out of the gate. He’s not a strong Week 7 fantasy play but is certainly worth stashing on benches.

Dolphins RB De'Von Achane is expected to miss "multiple weeks" with the knee injury he suffered against the Giants, according to multiple reports. The rookie is a candidate for IR, though the team reportedly hasn't decided on that yet. We'll watch for more specifics on that front. ESPN's Adam Schefter adds that Miami is expected to get RB Jeff Wilson Jr. back at practice this week. He has been on IR with hand and rib injuries. Wilson's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has long said his client would return to the field when eligible. That window opened in Week 5.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that RB De'Von Achane is being evaluated for a knee injury, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. We'll certainly be waiting for more details on this situation -- and passing them along as soon as they're available. Miami RB Jeff Wilson Jr. is eligible to come off IR at any time and is expected to start practicing this week.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, expects Wilson to be back when first eligible in Week 5. Rosenhaus is obviously biased, so it's tough to put too much stock into his timeline. HC Mike McDaniel sounded much less optimistic about Wilson's status on Thursday. We'll continue to look for updates on the situation, but Wilson is only worth rostering in deep fantasy leagues or fantasy leagues with an IR spot.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel says RB Jeff Wilson Jr. landed on IR with a "midsection injury compounded by some finger issues," according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. We're guessing that means the combo of injuries was enough to make the team think Wilson needed time to heal up. McDaniel didn't seem to give an expected return timeline, but what he did say seems ominous: "I wouldn't be surprised if he would make a return this season. We will let his body tell us." That makes it sound like a return this season is not definite. We'll obviously keep watching this season. It's worth noting that McDaniel is often not the most serious coach in press conferences. But it's tough to advocate drafting Wilson at all right now. RB Raheem Mostert, on the other hand, looks like a high-upside selection in the double-digit rounds. You might be able to start him right away against the Chargers in Week 1.

The Dolphins surprisingly put RB Jeff Wilson Jr. on IR Thursday. That means he'll miss at least the first four games. We had seen no indication of a significant injury to Wilson. He missed Wednesday's practice with an undisclosed issue but had otherwise only missed scant early-August time with a minor left-leg injury. This designation leaves Raheem Mostert and Chris Brooks as the only healthy RBs on the roster, and Mostert likely the clear backfield leader for Week 1 against the Chargers. De'Von Achane (shoulder) and Salvon Ahmed (concussion) worked on the side Wednesday, which could mean they have a chance to be ready for Week 1. We'll look for more on Wilson's situation and outlook. He remains stashable, though he's probably more of an early-season waiver option in most leagues now than a draft target.

Dolphins RB De'Von Achane avoided a severe injury to his shoulder, HC Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday. But according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, the rookie RB is considered "week-to-week." That's a particularly tough spot for a young back who has been running fifth on the RB depth chart so far. We'll see whether Achane can return to the field before the regular-season opener. We're moving him down the RB rankings for upcoming fantasy football drafts, though.

The Dolphins held RBs Jeff Wilson and Raheem Mostert out of Friday night's preseason opener vs. the Falcons. But Devon Achane was still just the third RB to hit the field for Miami, behind Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed. Achane, of course, is a rookie and missed a couple of days of practice earlier in the week with an undisclosed injury. We're still expecting him to be one of Miami's top-three backs by the time Week 1 rolls around, but his standing on the depth chart will be worth watching closely the rest of the summer.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert suffered a broken thumb in Sunday's win over the Jets. He garnered 11 carries and 2 targets in that one before leaving in the 3rd quarter. The injury doesn't necessarily mean Mostert will miss the Wild Card game against the Bills, but it's tough to imagine him getting significant backfield work with 1 full hand. Mostert's likely absence boosts the upside of Jeff Wilson Jr. for this weekend. We're certainly not betting on Miami getting to Round 2, though.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert is questionable to return for Sunday's game vs. the Jets with a thumb injury. We'll update his status when we know more. Mostert's absence leaves Miami's backfield to Jeff Wilson.

Update: Mostert has been ruled out.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert caught a team-high 8 passes for 62 yards and a TD in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. Already down QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion), Miami lost backup QB Teddy Bridgewater to a finger injury late in the 3rd quarter. QB Skylar Thompson targeted RBs with 11 of his 21 attempts after that, including 5 of Mostert's catches. We'll see who lines up behind center for the Dolphins in Week 18. RB Jeff Wilson Jr. led the rushing vs. New England, with 15 carries for just 45 yards. he caught 3 of 7 targets for 31 yards. Mostert went just 9-29 rushing. Expect both to remain outside the top 24 RBs in our Week 18 fantasy football rankings.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson is "day-to-day" with the hip injury he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the Chargers, HC Mike McDaniel said. "We have avoided the worst case scenarios for sure," McDaniel said. That's good news -- but we'd still consider Wilson iffy for Saturday night's game vs. the Bills. We'll track his status throughout the week. Wilson's absence would obviously be good news for RB Raheem Mostert's fantasy outlook.

The Dolphins have ruled RB Jeff Wilson Jr. out for the rest of tonight's game against the Chargers because of a hip injury. That leaves RB Raheem Mostert to lead the backfield. We'll see about Wilson's status heading into next Saturday night's visit to Buffalo.
