        White ruled out vs. Dolphins

The Jets have ruled QB Mike White out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. He went from a full Wednesday practice to limited Thursday and then this, so the rib injury clearly remains a significant issue. He played as though that was the case at Seattle in Week 17. QB Joe Flacco will start, with Zach Wilson backing up, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. A healthy Flacco instead of a hurting White is probably better for the fantasy outlook of WR Garrett Wilson and the rest of the Jets' pass-catchers. White won't be ready for Lions; Zach Wilson to start

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that doctors will not clear Jets QB Mike White for contact in time for Sunday's game with the Lions. That means QB Zach Wilson will return to the lineup. White twice left last Sunday's loss at Buffalo after taking shots to the midsection, but he returned each time. White said this week he was dealing with "general soreness," but he clearly sustained a more significant injury than he has conceded (likely to his ribs). So Wilson will return for the 1st time since his 9-for-22, 77-yard passing performance against the Patriots in Week 11. For the year, Wilson is averaging just 182.7 passing yards per game. White's 3 starts supplied 317.3 yards per game, at 0.6 more yards per pass attempt. The switch back is clearly bad news for Jets pass-catchers such as Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore and Tyler Conklin. Update: HC Robert Saleh has confirmed that White is out for Sunday's game vs. the Lions and that Wilson will start.

        White limited Wednesday

Jets QB Mike White (rib) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He figures to play through this injury vs. the Lions this weekend, but we'll keep an eye on his status over the next few days.

White expected to play Week 15

Jets HC Robert Saleh said Monday that QB Mike White is day-to-day with his rib injury and is expected to play vs. the Lions this weekend. White took some huge shots in the loss to the Bills and exited the game on 2 separate occasions. But he returned both times and should be ready to go by this coming Sunday. We'll monitor his status throughout the week.

White returns twice, has limited production

Jets QB Mike White twice left Sunday's loss to the Bills for injury checks. He returned both times, though, to finish with 268 yards. White threw no TDs but also avoided turning the ball over. It was a predictably tough outing for the young QB, who faced weaker defenses in his 1st 2 outings. Assuming he's healthy enough, White should be in line for another start against the Lions in Week 15.

        White hurts right forearm

Jets QB Mike White appeared to injured his right wrist in the 1st quarter of Thursday night's game vs. the Colts. He tried throwing on the sidelines but looked uncomfortable. QB Josh Johnson has entered for the Jets. White was playing well again before exiting, completing 7 of 11 passes for 95 yards and a score.

Update: White is officially questionable to return with a right forearm injury.

        Jets trade for Flacco

The Jets acquired QB Joe Flacco from the Eagles in exchange for a 2022 6th-round pick that can become a 5th-rounder based on how much Flacco plays for New York, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Flacco spent 2020 with the Jets, but that was under a different coaching staff. ESPN's Rich Cimini expects QB Mike White to start Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. QB Zach Wilson is slated to miss 2-4 weeks with his knee injury.

Wilson expected to miss 2 weeks

Jets QB Zach Wilson is expected to miss 2 weeks with a "minor" PCL sprain, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's relatively good news on what looked like a more serious injury. Wilson, of course, has not been a fantasy factor this season. But backup QB Mike White is a downgrade for the offense.

Update: ESPN's Adam Schefter puts Wilson's timetable at 2-4 weeks. We'll monitor the rookie's rehab.

        Wilson will "likely miss time"

Jets QB Zach Wilson will "likely miss time" with his knee injury, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, "but the tests will determine how much." Rapoport adds that Wilson is believed to be dealing with a PCL injury. We should learn more after the rookie's MRI. Backup QB Mike White went 20-of-32 for 202 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs in relief of Wilson in New England.
