Vikings Take A Flier On Rondale Moore

The Vikings signed WR Rondale Moore to a one-year deal. Moore missed the entire 2024 season after hurting his right knee in August. Injuries have been a big problem for Moore, who missed 12 games over his first three NFL seasons. He averaged 4.3 catches and 39 yards over the first two but just 2.4 catches and 21 yards the last time we saw him in 2023. Moore turns just 25 in June, so we're not quite ready to bury him. But he's a long shot for 2025 fantasy value in Minnesota behind Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson.

Falcons add Rondale Moore to WR corps; Desmond Ridder to back up Kyler Murray

The Falcons acquired WR Rondale Moore from the Cardinals in exchange for QB Desmond Ridder. Moore is coming off a disappointing 2023 campaign, mustering just 40 catches for 352 yards and one TD over 17 games. He struggled with injuries over his first two NFL seasons but averaged 4.3 catches and 39 yards per game. Still only 23, Moore has a chance to rebound with the Falcons. But he was a low average-target-depth player in college and has remained so as a pro, so he needs significant volume to deliver in fantasy. That'll be tough to find in Atlanta alongside WR Drake London, TE Kyle Pitts, and RB Bijan Robinson. The Falcons also added WR Darnell Mooney to the pass-catching corps in free agency. It's a solid group for QB Kirk Cousins. Ridder, meanwhile, will be no threat to QB Kyler Murray in Arizona. Ridder is only worth rostering in deeper superflex dynasty leagues.

Marquise Brown out for Week 16

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (heel) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Bears. He's been banged up for a while, so it wouldn't be surprising if Arizona just shuts him down the rest of the way. We'll see how WR Greg Dortch (shoulder) is listed on the final injury report later today. He didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday. The Cardinals could be down to WRs Michael Wilson, Rondale Moore, and Zach Pascal this weekend.

Michael Wilson not expected to play Week 11

Cardinals WR Michael Wilson (shoulder) is not expected to play vs. the Texans today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The rookie aggravated his shoulder injury in Friday's practice. Arizona will also be without WR Zach Pascal (hamstring) today, leaving Greg Dortch as the likely No. 3 WR. That arrangement figures to push WR Rondale Moore to the outside when the Cardinals go with three WRs. Moore, WR Marquise Brown, and TE Trey McBride have a chance to pick up an extra target or two with Wilson out.

Trey McBride leads receiving in Kyler Murray's return

Cardinals TE Trey McBride led the team in targets (9), receptions (8), and receiving yards (131) in Sunday's win over the Falcons, the first game this season with QB Kyler Murray. McBride drew a target on 28.1% of Murray's attempts, claimed 42.1% of the team's receptions, and accounted for 52.6% of the team's receiving yards. It marked his third straight game of heavy usage following the injury that landed TE Zach Ertz on IR. McBride has drawn target shares of 25% or better in each of those games, with three different starters at QB. We'd be surprised if the second-year TE falls out of fantasy relevance even after Ertz is eligible to return. McBride looks like a weekly fantasy starter going forward. WR Rondale Moore checked in second on the team in targets (8), receptions (5), and receiving yards (43). WR Marquise Brown managed just 1 reception for 28 yards on 4 targets. Expect the pass offense -- beyond McBride -- to improve as Murray gets further into his return.

Rondale Moore in for strong volume

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore continued to struggle with injuries last year, missing nine games and most of a 10th. But he was busy and productive in the other seven, averaging 8.0 targets, 5.6 catches, 59.1 yards, and .14 TDs. Moore ranked 17th among WRs in PPR points and 29th in non-PPR over that seven-week stretch. Durability remains a concern here. And the Cardinals offense figures to struggle at least until QB Kyler Murray returns from his knee injury. But, with WR DeAndre Hopkins gone, Moore could be a cheap source of strong volume this season. His current ADP sits in Round 11 as the 54th WR off the board. He lands considerably higher than that in our PPR WR Rankings.

Moore out, Dortch in for Week 14

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (groin) is out for Monday night's game vs. the Patriots. WR Greg Dortch (thumb) isn't listed on the final injury report after a full week of practice, putting him in line to operate as Arizona's primary slot receiver this week. Dortch has averaged 8.3 targets in 4 games with a 70+% snap rate this season -- although we wouldn't bet on quite that much volume this week with WRs DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown both playing.

"Optimism" Dortch returns for Week 14

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury expressed "optimism" about WR Greg Dortch's chances of returning from his thumb injury for Monday night's game vs. the Patriots, according to insider Darren Urban. Kingsbury reportedly didn't sound optimistic about WR Rondale Moore's status for that one. If Moore is out and Dortch in, Dortch will be a viable WR3 or flex play in PPR leagues.

        Moore exits with groin injury

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore is questionable to return to Monday night's game vs. the 49ers due to a groin injury. He lasted just 2 snaps before going down, carrying once for a loss of 6 yards. WR Greg Dortch has replaced Moore.

        Anderson traded to Cardinals

The Panthers are trading WR Robbie Anderson to the Cardinals, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Anderson had already been on the trade block before his sideline altercation with Carolina's coaching staff in Sunday's loss to the Rams. He heads from a pathetic Panthers passing game to a struggling Cardinals passing game. When Arizona's WR corps is healthy, Anderson might be the #4 WR behind DeAndre Hopkins, Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore. Brown went down with a foot injury late in Week 6, though, so we'll see about his status. Anderson is worth stashing in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams, but we're not very excited about his rest-of-season outlook.

Update: The Panthers are receiving a 2024 6th-round pick and a 2025 7th-rounder for Anderson, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

        Moore active

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Eagles. He was added to the injury report and limited on Thursday but was able to get in another limited practice on Friday. With WR A.J. Green back for this one, Moore should move back into the slot, where the Eagles are missing starting CB Avonte Maddox.

Moore expected to play Week 5

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (knee) is expected to play vs. the Eagles today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Moore was added to the injury report and limited on Thursday but was able to get in another limited practice on Friday. He has some volume-based appeal today, but consider him just a WR4 option in PPR leagues.
