Rashee Rice Has LCL Injury

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice's 2024 season "is expected to be over" with the right knee injury suffered in Week 4, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rice will have his LCL repaired on Tuesday, "but there is a chance that’s the only ligament to be repaired," per Rapoport. The expectation is that Rice's ACL is intact.

The timeline for an LCL repair is generally 3-4 months, according to Rapoport. So, while Rice's season is over, the injury shouldn't threaten his availability for the start of the 2025 campaign.

There's still a chance that a suspension knocks Rice out for the start of next season. But, as far as health goes, this is good news for his long-term dynasty value.
