The Ravens on Monday announced they have released K Justin Tucker. They insist it's about football and not ... you know ... the 16 massage therapists who have reportedly accused him of inappropriate behavior. Take it away Eric DeCosta ...
What They're Saying
The executive VP and GM, in an official statement: "Sometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult, and this is one of those instances. Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
To be fair, Tucker did post a career-low 73.3% FG rate last season, missing eight of his 30 attempts.
Five of those misses came from 50+ yards out, though -- a range that saw him mis four kicks in 2023 and five in 2022.
Tucker finished three straight seasons among fantasy's top five kickers before last year's fall-off. He'll turn 36 in November.
Baltimore telegraphed this move, of course, by drafting Arizona K Tyler Loop in Round 6.
Loop steps into a good situation for opportunities. We'll see how he fares heading into the season, but he'll be worth drafting in fantasy leagues with kickers.
Loop made 126 of 128 extra-point attempts in college and connected on 83.8% of his career FG tries.
I'd bet Tucker doesn't get picked up. You know ... for football reasons.
