Browns QB Shedeur Sanders threw for 364 yards and 3 TDs in Sunday's loss to the Titans, rushing for 29 yards and another score on three attempts. Sanders hit TE David Njoku for a 1-yard score early in the second quarter and WR Jerry Jeudy for a 60-yard catch-and-run TD later in the quarter while going a mere 9-of-14 passing for the first half. He went 14-of-28 in a second half that found Cleveland falling behind by two touchdowns. He hit TE Harold Fannin Jr. for the final TD near the end of the team. The team then took Sanders off the field for the ensuing 2-point conversion, which failed miserably after a Wildcat snap to RB Quinshon Judkins.
What They're Saying
NFL Stats: "Shedeur Sanders is the first Browns QB with 300+ pass yards, 3+ pass TDs, and a rush TD in the same game since 1950."
Sanders on the late conversion fail: "If I'm out there any play, you know, I wish I would always have the ball in my hands. But that's not what football is. ... I know we practiced something and we executed it in practice, and we just didn't seem to this day. I would never go against what the call was or anything."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
This was Sanders' first game with more than 209 passing yards or more than 1 TD pass. His rushing performance also proved significantly different vs. his first two starts:
- one attempt for minus-1 yard at Vegas
- one attempt for 6 yards vs. San Francisco
That came against the No. 28 defense in total DVOA. Here's how Cleveland's remaining three fantasy matchups rank:
- Chicago: 25th
- Buffalo: 20th
- Pittsburgh: 12th
You should treat Sanders' Week 14 performance as more outlier than signal of how he'll finish the season. But it does at least point to some upside for 2-QB and superflex leagues.
Sanders will be worth a look in those formats for that Week 15 Chicago date. We'll see beyond that.
