Packers WR Christian Watson went 4-89-2 on 4 targets in the win against the Bears. Watson tied for the team lead in targets along with TE Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed in his first game since Week 2. Watson led the WRs with 44 snaps with the most routes run at 21. Watson has finished as a top-12 PPR WR in three of the last four weeks.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The Bears had little answer for Watson when he was targeted in the game. Watson found clean separation downfield. He had a 23-yard TD in the first quarter and a 41-yard TD in the third quarter.
On the first TD, Watson got separation crossing near the goal line allowing Jordan Love to throw the ball up with a high trajectory. On the second TD, Watson beat man coverage on a slant and took it to the house with his speed.
Watson has sprung himself to the top of the depth chart in recent weeks and scored 5 TDs over the last four weeks. His deep threat ability and after-catch ability will continue being utilized despite the Packers getting Reed and Matthew Golden back this week.
The one downside is Watson likely sitting as TD dependent with the Packers’ still working on the ground first and foremost. His 4 targets on Sunday tied his season low.
Next week, Watson gets a tough Broncos defense, though CB Patrick Surtain II may be primarily on WR Romeo Doubs. He then gets to play the Bears again in Week 15. Week 17, the Packers get the Ravens who just gave up 7-148-0 to D.K. Metcalf.
Watson should be solidified in your starting lineup for the fantasy playoffs and could carry your team if he scores multiple TDs again.
