Bucs WR Chris Godwin racked up 7 catches, 108 yards, and 1 TD in Sunday's loss vs. Miami. The veteran ranked second on the team in targets (8) beyond only Jalen McMillan.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Godwin scored in the first quarter on a five-yard in-breaker against tight coverage. Later, he busted off a 59-yarder on a nice catch and run.
Godwin's 108 yards marked his most since Week 6 of last season. And the yardage easily beat his prior season-high of 78.
Perhaps most importantly, Godwin looked healthy in this one. That's rarely been the case following a pair of fibula injuries (2024 and 2025).
Dynasty Impact
The Bucs just signed Godwin to an extension in March. That keeps him under team control for two more seasons.
Godwin's future output depends partly on Mike Evans' contract situation. The 32-year-old is scheduled for free agency at the end of this season.
Meanwhile, the Bucs have a pair of young, developing WRs in Emeka Egbuka and Jalen McMillan.
Godwin -- who turns 30 in February -- barely cracks the top-40 of our dynasty WR rankings.
Other Winners & Losers
Mike Evans was fairly quiet vs. Miami, notching only 3-31 on 7 targets. Evans did add a 4-yard TD late in the game when he was left unmarked in the end zone.
What's Next for Chris Godwin?
Godwin and the Bucs face the Panthers in Week 18, with the winning team taking home the NFC South crown.
In a Week 16 matchup with Carolina, Godwin caught 5 of 6 targets (24%) for 30 scoreless yards. The veteran will project as at least a mid-range WR3 for that one.
