The Colts and QB Daniel Jones have agreed to a two-year, $88 million deal with $50 million fully guaranteed, according to multiple reports. Jones can make up two $100 million via incentives. It's a significant raise from the $37.8 million Jones was slated to make this season on the transition tag.
What They're Saying
ESPN's Adam Schefter: "A breakdown of Daniel Jones’ two-year deal:
- $88 million base value
- $50 million fully guaranteed at signing
- $60 million guaranteed for injury.
- Max value of $100 million, making it the largest two-year contract in NFL history, per agents Brian Murphy and Andrew Kessler."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
This seems like a fair deal for both sides. Jones was excellent in 13 games last year, completing 68.0% of his passes at 8.1 yards per attempt with 19 TDs vs. eight INTs. But his resume was shaky across six seasons with the Giants. And he's working back from a torn Achilles.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Jones is expected to be ready for Week 1. One source even told Schefter that Jones should be available for the start of training camp.
We'll keep tabs on his rehab. But it's still fair to expect his mobility and rushing production to be limited coming off the Achilles injury. And that's a big part of Jones' fantasy value. He also lost WR Michael Pittman to Pittsburgh earlier this week.
Jones continues to sit in low-end QB2 territory in our 2026 rankings.
