The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt calls WR Adonai Mitchell one of the Jets' "biggest stars" so far this offseason. Mitchell has drawn praise from other media members, as well as teammates and coaches.
What They're Saying
QB Geno Smith: “AD is a great, young talent, and he’s a super hard worker,” Smith said. “I’m really excited about AD. I think he’s going to be a special player for a long time. He’s obviously got the talent, but what people might not see is the way that he works, the way that he studies and just the type of teammate that he is
HC Aaron Glenn: "Adonai Mitchell is a very talented player, and we want to squeeze every ounce of his athleticism, to where he can help us and make big plays for us, because he has that ability."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Mitchell has teased fantasy managers through two NFL seasons, flashing at times but never sustaining consistent production.
He's been a strong target earner, though, and that continued with the Jets last year. In six full games with the team, Mitchell:
- Drew a target on 26% of his routes
- Registered a 24.9% target share
Both marks ranked top 17 among WRs over that span.
All six of those games came without WR Garrett Wilson, who's back as New York's clear top target this season. The offense also added TE Kenyon Sadiq and WR Omar Cooper in this spring's draft.
But Mitchell's strong start to the offseason gives him a chance to hold off Cooper for the No. 2 WR job, especially since Mitchell projects to play more snaps on the outside.
It's tough to see him emerging as a reliable starter in lineup-setting leagues, barring a Wilson injury. But Mitchell is a nice target at his WR77 best-ball ADP. That's 11 spot below his spot in our WR rankings.
