Giants QB Jaxson Dart's mobility fueled big rushing production last year, but it also led to plenty of bumps and bruises. It doesn't sound like New York's new coaching staff plans to rein in the rushing, though. HC John Harbaugh said on The Dominique Foxworth Show that Dart's dual-threat ability will allow the Giants offense to do “a lot of the stuff that we did in Baltimore with Lamar [Jackson]."
What They're Saying
Harbaugh: "Jaxson’s capable of doing a lot of things. Like he can live in a lot of different worlds, football-wise. He can live in a power-running game, obviously, and a power-running game protects the QB because you can hand the ball off and get yards and make people defend that and keep them honest. Then, it opens up your play-action passing game. ... That stuff, we’re gonna be in those worlds. But now we can also get in the gun or we can get in the pistol, and we can run RPOs, we can run QB-driven runs."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Dart put up big rushing numbers in his 12 starts last year:
- 7.0 carries per game
- 40.6 rushing yards per game
- 0.8 rushing TDs per game
His 8.86 fantasy points per game via rushing edged out Josh Allen's 8.87 for tops among all QBs.
It's tough to bank on that level of rushing production again, but Dart's legs still figure to be a big part of New York's new offense under Harbaugh and OC Matt Nagy.
We have concerns about Dart's passing production considering Nagy's uninspiring history and the state of the Giants' pass-catching corps, especially before Malik Nabers is back. But the rushing production keeps Dart in the low-end QB1 mix.
He sits QB13 in our updated rankings.
