Daniel Jones Headshot

Colts QB Daniel Jones confirmed on the Pat McAfee show that he's been fully cleared for training camp and will fully participate when camp opens this week. Jones has been working his way back from an Achilles injury he suffered last December. Jones' full participation in training camp means he should be ready for the start of the season.

What They're Saying: Ready To Go

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Cleared, Still Risky

Jones looks on track for Week 1, barring a setback. The tougher question is what he'll look like coming off a serious injury.

Aaron Rodgers and Kirk Cousins are the most recent prominent QBs to come back from Achilles tears, and both saw notable dips in passing efficiency. Rodgers averaged just 6.7 yards per attempt, while Cousins averaged 7.7 and tossed 16 INTs in 14 games before getting benched for Michael Penix.

Jones, 29, at least returns much younger than Rodgers (41) and Cousins (36) did. But he's also relied more on his mobility than either had in those return seasons, which makes his 2026 outlook murkier after last year's QB13 finish in PPR points per game (20.5).

Jones is still a risky 2026 fantasy pick, although that risk is largely baked into his QB25 ADP. He's a fine pick in best-ball and superflex drafts at that price.

He currently sits at QB22 in our QB Rankings.
