Jalen McMillan Headshot

The Buccaneers are dealing with multiple injuries at WR this week. That included Jalen McMillan, Chris Godwin, and Emeka Egbuka all sitting out Tuesday night's indoor practice. Tez Johnson left that workout early with a lower-body injury, according to the team website.

What They're Saying: Minor Issues Limit Participation

Brianna Dix of Buccaneers.com: "Todd Bowles confirmed that both McMillan and Egbuka are dealing with soreness in the lower body and were kept off the turf in the indoor as a safeguard. Godwin's situation has not been specified, but he has been receiving veteran days off throughout camp and was likely sidelined as a precation. Johnson will undergo treatment to assess his injury after an early Tuesday night exit."

Bowles: "I think he strained a groin running, so we'll get treatment and see how it is."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Don't Change Your Plans

Doesn't sound like we need to worry about any of the fantasy-relevant members of the WR corps. Johnson's issue sounds most significant, but he's likely the fourth or fifth WR even at full health.

Godwin's "veteran days" might seem worrisome after the injury-marred 2025 he just endured, but it's pretty common treatment for guys who have been in the league for a while. We haven't seen any reason to worry about his readiness for the season.

"Soreness" for McMillan and Egbuka will be worth watching but also isn't enough to signal that we should adjust their fantasy outlooks.

For now, we'll watch out for further potentially impactful updates.
