2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Avoid Pittsburgh's No. 3 WR
We wrote in late July that Wilson was drawing praise from QB Aaron Rodgers and Pittsburgh media, and he's carried that momentum into training camp. The praise from Rodgers is especially noteworthy considering the veteran QB seemingly has a big say in who gets on the field.
The Steelers spent the 47th overall pick of this spring's draft on Germie Bernard, who we considered the favorite for that No. 3 WR job. But it's worth remembering that Wilson was a third-round pick in 2024.
Wilson has just 12 catches through two NFL seasons, so we're still skeptical he'll be a fantasy factor this year. But his emergence is enough to avoid Bernard in fantasy drafts for now.
We'll see if Bernard can flip this script.
Other Winners & Losers: Metcalf and Pittman Could Dominate Targets
Bernard's failure to impress early can only be good news for WRs D.K. Metcalf and Michael Pittman. The veterans could control upwards of 50% of Pittsburgh's targets, especially early in this season.
Metcalf and Pittman are both solid-if-unexciting picks in fantasy drafts.
