Kenneth Walker III Headshot

After reportedly getting plenty of work in his first training camp with the team, Kenneth Walker isn't expected to practice Tuesday because of a foot issue, per Chiefs beat writer Matt Derrick.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Second-Year Leap Gets Cloudier: Volume Meets Durability Worry

After signing a three-year, $45 million contract in free agency this offseason, Walker has reportedly been primed for a major workload in training camp.

Walker has been a solid producer to this point in his career, finishing as a top-12 RB the season before last with 16.3 PPR points per game (PPG).

But last year, his production dipped, and it was the first time Walker accounted for less than 60% of the team’s rush attempts.

Part of that was a deliberate attempt to keep him healthy, as he’s stacked up a fair amount of lower-body injuries that have sidelined him throughout the first four seasons of his career.

The Chiefs appear poised to give Walker a large workload, which paves the way for the highest fantasy-producing season of his career. But for a RB who’s had health concerns, an early injury isn't a great signal.
