Mike Evans Headshot

49ers WR Mike Evans "plans to play Week 1," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports. Evans has dealt with recurring quad issues this summer and is currently sidelined with a groin injury.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Availability is the Question

It's nice that Evans plans to play Week 1, but the fact that it's even a question is concerning.

Evans turned 33 earlier this month and was limited to eight games last year by a hamstring strain, broken collarbone, and concussion. He carries an extensive injury history and is the sixth-biggest injury risk among WRs, according to our Injury Predictor.

Evans will boast exciting upside, especially in the TD department, when healthy this season. The question is how often he'll be healthy.
