Cedric Tillman is being released by the Browns after the team spent a third-round pick on him three years ago, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Tillman spent five years at the University of Tennessee before playing three seasons with the Browns.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: The Prospect Glow Is Gone
There was excitement surrounding the former Browns third-round pick when he first entered the league. As a prospect, he was coming off a dominant 30% target share in what was possibly Tennessee's best offense of the past 20 years.
Unfortunately, after a 2025 season in which he averaged less than 5.0 PPR points per game (PPG) for the second time in his career, Tillman was well outside fantasy-relevant conversations.
The Browns drafting a wide receiver in the first and second rounds of the most recent draft seems to have signaled the end of Tillman’s time with the team.
Fortunately, the Browns will likely be giving 10% of their target share to a higher-caliber WR than Tillman.
