Jaguars WR Parker Washington managed only 1 catch for 7 yards in Sunday’s win over the Bengals. His 3 targets were good for just a 13% target share on a day with only 23 Trevor Lawrence pass attempts.
What They're Saying
Here's long-time beat writer John Shipley (via SI):
"I thought Parker Washington would have nearly 100 yards and torch the Bengals' defense. Instead, he had just one catch for seven yards and had a few odd plays where he simply did not make the plays he has made so often over the course of his career. Washington will need to improve over the course of the next few weeks to wash away what felt like a bit of a wasted game..."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Pass volume was part of the issue, but Lawrence didn’t chuck it a ton with games of 23, 29, and 29 passes over the three prior weeks. Washington still entered Sunday at WR10 in total PPR points.
He nearly added a bit more production to his stat line, as his lone catch initially went for a 39-yard gain. Unfortunately, replay review showed that Washington stepped out of bounds.
It’s also worth giving some credit to the Cincinnati pass defense. They entered the week 15th in pass defense DVOA, well ahead of their 2025 mark of 29th.
Ultimately, Washington should remain a weekly fantasy starter going forward. He gets two talented but underperforming units before a Week 7 bye, with the Eagles and Texans both coming to town.
