McCaffrey continues to be one of the most targeted RBs while handling a healthy rushing share but his lack of efficiency holds him back from an RB1 finish. He posted 15 rush attempts for 52 yards and a TD while hauling in three of 5 targets for another 18 yards on his way to 16.0 PPR points.

Usage hasn’t been an issue for the veteran RB, as he’s one of just seven RBs handling at least a 45% carry share and 15% target share.
McCaffrey’s latest 17.2% target share against the Broncos gives him a 20% target share on the season that ranks third among RBs. It’s also his third straight week as the carry leader on the 49ers since being out-carried by RB Kaelon Black in Week 1.
While McCaffrey’s 3.5 yards per carry showcased an inefficient rushing week, his 4.4 yards per carry, which ranks 14th out of 39 RBs this season with at least 30 rush attempts, shows that’s not an expected issue moving forward.
Rushing efficiency will be tough to achieve next week against a Seahawks defense that allowed the sixth-fewest rushing yards heading into this week.
