Eagles WR DeVonta Smith returned from a two-game hamstring injury Sunday to lead the team across receiving categories. He drew a game-high 14 targets (31.1% of QB Tanner McKee's total pass attempts) and tallied 7 catches (26.9%) for 75 yards (34.9%) and Philly's lone passing TD. Makai Lemon checked in next among Eagles WRs with 6 targets (3-19 receiving), followed by:
- Dontayvion Wicks -- 4 (2-24)
- Darius Cooper -- 2 (1-9)
- Elijah Moore -- 2 (1-4)
Wicks left early in the fourth quarter after appearing to hurt his right ankle but returned for the team's next possession. Smith also left briefly after landing hard on an incomplete deep throw but missed just one play.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Smith Could Use Better QB Play
Smith's TD came on a terrifically placed end-zone throw just over the CB's shoulder, with nice concentration to complete the catch.
His target count benefited from a pass-heavy approach: 49 dropbacks vs. just 13 designed run plays.
That level of volume probably won't continue, but this looks like a team that will play from behind a lot. So expect some continued elevation in passing volume, especially while Saquon Barkley remains out.
McKee will need to improve on a meager 4.8 yards per pass attempt to support better efficiency for his WRs, but his 8.4-yard average depth of target offers some encouragement. It came in just 0.1 short of Jalen Hurts' rate for the season.
The 57.8% completion rate could also use a boost and was particularly discouraging against a Panthers D missing top CB Jaycee Horn.
We'll see how much McKee can improve over what will be at least three more starts. They do at least come in upside matchups with the Cowboys, Commanders, and Giants.
Smith, of course, remains a starter for most fantasy lineups in spite of the QB issues.
