The Texans placed WR Jaylin Noel on IR with his turf toe. That knocks him out for at least 4 games, but The Houston Chronicle's Jonathan M Alexander reports that Noel is expected to miss the rest of the season.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Tough break for a second-year receiver who was coming on, with 3-85-0, 5-41-1, and 4-107-1 lines in his final three healthy games.
We'll keep an eye on Noel's recovery, but he'll likely be ready for all or most of the 2027 offseason. He should stay stashed in dynasty leagues.
Other Winners & Losers
Noel was playing almost exclusively in 3-WR sets for Houston, running 71% of his routes from the slot.
WR Xavier Hutchinson (50% slot routes) is the most natural replacement for Noel, but we could see the Texans use a variety of receivers inside. They could also deploy more multi-TE sets.
Nico Collins and Marvin Harrison Jr. remain the only Houston WRs worth rostering in redraft.
