The Jaguars have ruled QB Trevor Lawrence out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. It's not a shock, given that Lawrence's right shoulder injury has kept him out of practice all week. But it will be the first game Lawrence has missed in his three NFL seasons. C.J. Beathard will start against a Panthers defense that's been the fourth-worst matchup for QBs and WRs and second-worst for TE scoring, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed. Carolina has been a positive matchup for RBs, though. Lawrence's absence can't hurt the opportunity count for Travis Etienne. Beathard went 11 of 15 for 94 yards and a score in relief of Lawrence today and will start vs. the Panthers next week if Lawrence is out.

His availability is good news for Jacksonville's skill-position players, though.

His 23.2 PPR points in the contest rank second among all TEs in Week 13 and stand as Engram’s highest mark of the season. As disappointing as it was to see QB Trevor Lawrence leave with a late ankle injury, fantasy managers should keep in mind that a healthy portion of Engram’s production (4 catches and 31 yards) came on Jacksonville’s final two drives with backup C.J. Beathard under center. Engram will likely remain among our top 12 weekly TEs even if Lawrence misses time.
